You can achieve it by custom gridview implementation witch support headers
:

There is no standard way to achive that. What you can do is using listview with an header and handling the grid visualization by yourself.
Do you need these items to be visible?

How to divide expandable listview in 2 section with group header using separator

I am using expandable listview to get sub-menu on click of menu. I want to create two different section in expandable listview exactly like menu using separator.
I am using -
MainActivity
ExpandableListAdapter
listheader
list_submenu
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Firstly, I would recommend you migrate to recyclerView cause nobody use ListView nowadays.
If I get you right, you need something like BigNerdRanch's ExpandableRecycler or expandable recycler view.
This is 2 library, which very easy to use in your app. In some of projects, we used expandableRecycler from the Big Nerd Ranch. Easy, fast, and comfortable. Second one, didn`t try yet.
To divide views with separator, you might be want to use DividerItemDecoration from support lib.
If, for some reason you still want to use listView - you can try tutorial here

GridView with Different Columns in Each row

I want to implement list in Android like this screenshot.
Me checked gridview , listview, custom views, but sadly i donot find any useful tutorials to support gridview with each row cell/column count changes on data size.
You can try this library according to your need. Alternatively you can edit the source code for you requirements.
It is simple android TagView library.
You can try with FlowLayout, see bellow libraries:
hongyangAndroid/FlowLayout
blazsolar/FlowLayout
suanmiao/flowlayout
android-flowlayout
Cutta/TagView
Use recycler view for list i.e. Your rows and populate each row with your data. Just that now you have to also dynamically add views in each row based upon your conditions

Staggered collections in Android app

Hi I just watch the last video of Android Design in Action: Collections and I would like how do you approach the following view:
The first thing that I though was use a GridView, but how do you achieve the first item fill two items size?
The other solution that I think is use a normal ListView, but in each row return two items view. And for the first row return a single item.
What do you think about these two approach? There are a better options?
UPDATE:
I want to inflate the collection dynamically from a Cursor or a List.
Check out the link..
http://www.androidviews.net/2013/01/pinterest-like-adapterview/
in that link have Staggeredgridview example with source code try that..

Not exactly the same scenario, but you may find this post useful.-
Create gridlayout.
Let me help you my friend. Use the following library https://github.com/Utopia-Developers/StaggeredGridView Its an implementation of StaggeredGridView that allows you to set column span on each view in the getView() method of your adapter.

Grid with different item height and width

can someone help me and tell me is this possible in android. I need to have in my app a gridview alike widget, but with different item height and width, like this:
So is this possible, and if so, what can I use to achieve this.
Thanks
For this you need a work around or you can say a third party Library named as "AndroidStaggeredGrid"
You can check it on here
#Darko,
Yes, it it possible to do like this in Android.
There are many ways to implement this. As you said GridView cannot be used to achieve this. For a normal user this will appear has grids.
Ways:
Use fragment for each and every "grid" you can see and each fragment will have its layout to display either 2 or 3 images in grid (No gridview is required here too). Use ImageViews as usually.
If the layout design is same, then you can define a single layout with internal design in the same format. Each row with imageviews - This is not encouraged by the way.
Design layouts for each and every format of design per row. Inflate each particular row to a list (using custom adapter). Based on position in getView() you can control which row design to be added to list. Inbuilt scroll in ListView, so no problem!
I suggest you to go with number #1 or #3. Using fragments you will have better control.
If you come to know any better idea, please share!
It's StaggeredGridView
You can find an implementation at https://github.com/bulletnoid/StaggeredGridView
It's possible using GridLayout. More details in the link.

how to make listview like android market . i.e divided into two columns

I was wondering how to implement the listview like the android market.
in the right hand panel a listview is divided into the two rows. This is very useful because it saves lot of space and user can look at almost double items in the listview at a time. how can I implement this ? any suggestions?
you can use GridView instead of ListView of two columns..
1. GridView
2. GridViewExample
Sample design :
The Android Market also uses the ViewPager to scroll between the pages. Here is an example on how you could implement it.
There is another question that is related to this one.Check the folling link, it might help you:
How to display a two column ListView in Android?
Modify you *.xml file to get what you want.
Good luck!
If you want to do this using listView, then each item (row) in the list view should consist of two views. You can do this using a relative layout (or linear layout) with two items side by side.
You can also implement this using a gridview having two columns.
