ListView Inside CardView not Showing its full length

Hellow i've implemented ListView inside the CardView but now what problem i got is, the CardView is not Expanding on Adding list item. Can anybody help me,how to slove the issue? I have gone through different posts on stackoverflow but cannot find the solution :( My code is below

You need to specify certain height for ListView in the xml code. WRAP_CONTENT will not expand your ListView when data is inflated into it. Specify some height like 200dp or something.

Populate list of custom view using ListFragment

I am trying to show elements in a list view using Fragments. I created my custom view as follow

In fragment.xml file, I simply put a list view inside a linear layout

I have an array of menu objects, that has the necessary fields to populate list_row.xml like menu name, description, price and image. I couldn't find a way to fill fragment.xml's listView with the list_row elements. Any help or idea would be appreciated.
PS: I think in fragment.xml instead of android:id="#+id/listView1" field, I have to write android:id="#id/list" since I'm using ListFragment

I solved my problem (as system32 suggests on comment) creating a CustomArrayAdapter class, and setting it as the adapter for my listView.
First I changed android:id="#+id/listView1" to android:id="#android:id/list" in fragment.xml.

ListView is showing gapes in list items Android

i am trying to implement listView through setListAdapter and Efficient Adapter. I want that when list is show then the background should not be repeat. My code is repeating the whole layout of list.xml due to which my list item are showing with so much gap.

I hope you have not provide android:dividerHeight attribute in your layout file under <ListView/>
If so please remove it.

this problem occurs when you have set the adapter class xml, parent root
match_content instead of wrap_content.
set the root content height wrap_content
As i can see in adapter layout there is no parent root like relative, linearlayout, Framelayout and ConstraintLayout etc.

getView() method of ArrayAdapter repeats first two or three items in list

I extended an ArrayAdapter with an overridden getView() method to fill my ListView object, but the adapter will grab the first two or three objects from the ArrayList I pass to it, then just repeat those in seemingly random order for the entire length of the list. Furthermore, when I scroll up and down in the ListView, some rows change from one list item to another. The ArrayList<Credit> object gets populated from a JSONObject, and to the best of my knowledge is correct prior to being passed into the ArrayAdapter.

Your problem was you were not doing all the code you needed to set the View object correctly when convertView was != null.

try adjust your xml layout on anyone place that references the height, because the android will do a measure to draw eachtime and will redraw the cell up again.
Try use on listview match_parent and on cell at row an exactly height.

I want to display some text below each grid image.

I used your xml but with a simple array adapter that I wrote and everything work perfectly, try to replace your adapter with mine and let me know, thanks.

Also try using RelativeLayout too, placing the TextView underneath the ImageView by using
android:layout_below="#id/grid_item_image"
It'll place it underneath the image, however, if you have the option to use the Graphical Layout, dragging it where you want it in conjunction with the image will set all the parameters for you instead of typing them out.
