Last time I tried Intellij 13 It had many problems with Gradle (1.11+), use Intellij EAP 14 or switch to Android Studio.
You can try removing "C:\Users\username.gradle\wrapper\dists\" directory and resync your gradle project.

I have tried the Crystax sample on IDEA, and I have compiled it successfully, got it to run on my phone.
However, when I try to modify the project, IDEA throws an error about Gradle version:
Error:The project is using an incompatible version of the Android Gradle "experimental" plugin.
Please update your project to use version 0.9.0.
Then I updated it and met new problems:
Gradle version 3.3 is required. Current version is 4.1.
Please fix the project's Gradle settings.
I choose to Fix Gradle wrapper and re-import project
Then the next error appears:

Please, is there anyone who knows how to use Crystax on IDEA IDE?
I found an alternative way, which does not relies on AS to build.
Just set your system PATH to Crystax-ndk folder, set up your Application.mk and Android.mk, and run command:
ndk-build
then you will get the result lib or executable file, then, link it to your Android project.
I tried to sync my gradle in android studio and it showed me this error even after I tried to sync it locally, still the same error:

What Gradle and Java versions are you using?
Try downgrading them & delete the build and .gradle folders in your project directory

I update to use unity 5.6.1f1 and android studio 2.3.3. I set "build system" option to "Gradle(New)", which is new added from 5.5, then click "Export" to create an android project.
I open the exported project with android studio, then I get the following error
I try the two blue links, but I keep geting this same result.
For my unity project, I only create an empty project and add a button to a unity scene, then export it. I have also tried to build API directly, it works.
It is important for me to export unity project to andoid studio project, because it can help us to use additional compile options
Do any one know what I miss? Or how to export unity project correctly?

I had the same issue with unity 2017.1.0b4 and Android Studio 2.3.3, gradle 3.3.
You should change android plugin for graddle version in Android studio to 2.3.3

If you have wasted a lot of time fixing unity Gradle error but nothing worked then you tried unity internal builder but that gave "Parsing Package error"
then try this, it will not help you make your project using unity's Gradle but it will make your project without any error successfully.
Export your project from unity to a folder eg: ProjectName_Gradle.
open android studio, make sure you are connected to the internet .
close current project then select "Open Gradle, eclipse ADT, etc;" option and open ProjectName_Gradle folder.
check the version of buildTools installed in your android-SDK by opening android-SDK settings from the android studio itself.

Long story short: My android phone keeps disconnecting from ADB. I was told to update android studio, did that. I open my project in Intellij and try to run on android and I get an error:

My first thought is that my gradle is the wrong version. For this specific app, I need to use gradle version 2.14.1.
When I type gradle -v I'm getting version 3.3.
Is there a way to delete/downgrade gradle from 3.3 to 2.14.1?
Or is this another problem?
If you're using the gradle wrapper, then there'll be a folder in your project named "gradle" with a subfolder named "wrapper", inside that, there are 2 files:
- gradle-wrapper.jar
- gradle-wrapper.properties
Open "gradle-wrapper.properties" and change the place where it says "3.3" to "2.14.1". Then sync gradle, and it will automatically download 2.14.1.
If you're using the new 2.3 Android Studio, you HAVE to use gradle wrapper 3.3, as its the minimum supported gradle wrapper version. If so, then you'll have to download Android Studio 2.2, or fix whatever issue you have in your project that needs gradle wrapper version 2.14.1.
To get more information about whatever the issue is, try running this:
./gradlew clean assemble -stacktrace
That will clean your project, try and compile it, and if/when it fails, it will show you a stacktrace of the error.
What you should do is to change the gradle build tools version to the one that matches your gradle version. According to here you can set the gradle to 2.14.1 by changing build tools to lower than 1.0.0.

For me, Android Studio > File > Invalidate Caches / Restart did the trick.
I got the same problem when upgrading to Android Studio 2.3.1. There is something funky about Gradle 3.3 (It fails by "java.lang.NullPointerException: null value in entry: destinationDir=null at com.google.common.collect.CollectPreconditions.checkEntryNotNull(CollectPreconditions.java:33)").
Good news: seems like the current most recent version (3.5) works.
Go to File|Project Structure|Project, and use these versions:

I update the Android Studio version to 3.3 Canary 4, then update the gradle plugin, and the project stops working.
I do not know how to restore my AS to the previous state, nighter the gradle plugin.
But just with this command, the project now works, for me: gradlew clean assemble -stacktrace, in terminal tab in AS.
I want reading an open source project so I select k9mail for start. The recommendation was run and reading this code in Android Studio. I import k9mail project to AS 1.2.1.1 version. I download gradle 2.4 version and added this in environment variable. When I want to run this application, but I receive some errors that I describe below:
1) When I click Run (Alt+Shift+F10), select Android Application, select my module (there is k9mail) and select USB Device, then I see a warning:
No JDK specified for module 'k-9-master'.
2) When I click on Run (Shift+F10), I faced this error in messages tab:
Gradle DSL method not found: 'android()'
Possible causes:
A)The project 'k-9-master' may be using a version of Gradle that does not contain the method.Open Gradle wrapper file
B)The build file may be missing a Gradle plugin. Apply Gradle plugin
When I updated gradle to 2.4, I changed classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:1.2.3' to 'classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:2.4'' from build.gradle of k9mail, but my problems were not solved.
I googled but I can't find solutions for my problems.

For that you have to specify the jdk path through Project Structure.
You may also verify by looking at local.properties
For gradle related issues you just kindly update your gradle build and SDKs to latest versions.
This will minimize your gradle issues.
