How to apply long touch and pinch in zoom android? - android

I have issue in applying pinch in zoom for image and long press in view pager. When I zoom in and zoom out the image, long press gets triggered. How to overcome this? When I long touch the image alone, it should be triggered. How to do this? I searched but I couldn't find solution for this.
My code is as follows:
TouchImageView:
public class TouchImageView extends ImageView {

// We can be in one of these 3 states

static final int DRAG = 1;
static final int ZOOM = 2;

PointF start = new PointF();
float minScale = 1f;
float maxScale = 3f;

#Override
public void run() {
if (overlayLink != null) {
overlayLink.setVisibility(View.GONE);
}
}
}, 5000);
return true;
}
});
But problem is when I zoom the image, overlay is displaying i.e. which should display only in long touch.
The screen :
How to solve this?

What you can do is:
Keep a boolean isZoomed in your class TouchImageView along with getter setters.
Set it to true in onScaleBegin method. Set it to false in onScaleEnd method:
See below snippet:
Inside TouchImageView:
boolean isZoomed;
private class ScaleListener extends
ScaleGestureDetector.SimpleOnScaleGestureListener {
#Override
public boolean onScaleBegin(ScaleGestureDetector detector) {
isZoomed = true;
mode = ZOOM;
return true;
}
#Override
public boolean onScale(ScaleGestureDetector detector) {
float mScaleFactor = detector.getScaleFactor();
float origScale = saveScale;
saveScale *= mScaleFactor;
if (saveScale > maxScale) {
saveScale = maxScale;
mScaleFactor = maxScale / origScale;
} else if (saveScale < minScale) {
saveScale = minScale;
mScaleFactor = minScale / origScale;
}
if (origWidth * saveScale <= viewWidth
|| origHeight * saveScale <= viewHeight)
matrix.postScale(mScaleFactor, mScaleFactor, viewWidth / 2,
viewHeight / 2);
else
matrix.postScale(mScaleFactor, mScaleFactor,
detector.getFocusX(), detector.getFocusY());
fixTrans();
return true;
}
#Override
public void onScaleEnd(ScaleGestureDetector detector) {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
isZoomed = false;
super.onScaleEnd(detector);
}
}
public boolean isZoomed() {
return isZoomed;
}
public void setZoomed(boolean isZoomed) {
this.isZoomed = isZoomed;
}
Now in your MainActivity:
Check in onLongClick event: If imageview's isZoomed is false, then only handle that long click event. Else don't handle.
tiv = (TouchImageView) findViewById(R.id.timg);
tiv.setOnLongClickListener(new OnLongClickListener() {
#Override
public boolean onLongClick(View v) {
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
if (!tiv.isZoomed()) {
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "long clicked",
Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
return true;
}
return false;
}
});
Hope this helps.

OnLongClick listener is not working with zoomable Image in Android

I am developing an Android app. In my app, I am using image view that can be zoomed and pop up download option dialog like in Facebook. But I am having a problem with my code. The problem is when I set onLongClick listener on my image view, everything is working fine.
But what I want is, I just want to show download option when user hold touching on image view like in Facebook. So I set onLongClick listener on it instead of onClick listener. But when I set onLongClick listener, the Event is not fired.

#Override

super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
config = (Config)getApplication();
config.Initialize();
Intent i = getIntent();
image = i.getStringExtra("url");
TouchImageView touchImageView = new TouchImageView(getBaseContext());
touchImageView.setBackgroundColor(Color.BLACK);
Picasso.with(getBaseContext()).load(image).into(touchImageView);

#Override
public boolean onLongClick(View v) {
Toast.makeText(getBaseContext(),"OK",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
//download code goes here
return true;
}
});
}
So as you can see my code, I am toasting in long click listener. But it is not working. But if I use on click listener instead, it is working. What is wrong with my code?
You have the line return true; // indicate event was handled in onTouchListener(). Having it return false should allow the onLongClickListener() to receive touch events and fire.

How to use long press in android custom imageview?

I am using custom imageview for zoom in image. zoom in and zoom out works well but i need to tap for long click listener to handle this but i couldn't use , long click listener. I used some delay to test but still not working.

Try to use this:
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/View.html#setLongClickable(boolean)
on your TouchImageView.
Found solution:
#Override
public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) {
boolean defaultResult = v.onTouchEvent(event); // use this
case MotionEvent.ACTION_POINTER_UP:
mode = NONE;
break;
default:
return defaultResult;
}
setImageMatrix(matrix);
invalidate();
return true;

How to crop a bitmap and set the result as a wallpaper?

i have developed an app that shows a gallery with some fullscreen bitmaps stored in res.drawable folder. The images can be displayed in a activity that shows them with my ZoomableImageView in full screen. I have the image in a bitmap.
Now i need to crop the image to set it as a wallpaper for the device.
Android provides a way to achieve it?
I tryed with the next code but does not work! it does not gives the user the way to crop the image as he desires and sets the image losing the left and the right and without moving capability:
public void click(){
try {
WallpaperManager wallpaperManager = WallpaperManager.getInstance(activity);
//import non-scaled bitmap wallpaper
BitmapFactory.Options options = new BitmapFactory.Options();
options.inScaled = false;
wallpaperManager.setBitmap(bitmap);
} catch (Exception e) {
Log.e("WALLPAPER","failed to set wallpaper");
}
}

There's a library for that, you can inspect the code or just use it on your project. Check it out: https://github.com/ArthurHub/Android-Image-Cropper

How to apply pinch and pangesture to imageview in android

Hi when i use two fingers that i need to zoom my image using pinch gesture..and when use single finger i need to move my image using pan gesture..i tried using below code zoom is working but how to move my image using pan gesture..any one suggest me..

You need one detector for each gesture, for pinch ScaleGestureDetector (You are using this :), to pan you can use Gesture Detector, look at the method onScroll.
Ex:
private GestureDetector gestureDetector;
private GestureHandler gestureHandler;
#Override
public void onCreate(final Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
gestureHandler = new GestureHandler(renderer);
gestureDetector = new GestureDetector(this, gestureHandler);
}
#Override
public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) {
gestureDetector.onTouchEvent(event);
return true;
}
public class GestureHandler extends SimpleOnGestureListener {
#Override
public boolean onScroll(final MotionEvent motionEvent, final MotionEvent currentMotionEvent,
final float distanceX, final float distanceY) {
// You can move here.
// Use distanceX and distanceY.
return true;
}
}

How do I lock a TouchImageView in android?

Does anyone know if I can lock or disable an image to be zoomed (resized) after I zoom the image to the size I want? I'm using TouchImageView, which I found online and now I want to lock the 'userImage' from being resize, is it possible? It will have a lock and unlock function using a button.
Inside OnCreate method:
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.start_match_it);
//get image path from previous activity
Uri image = (Uri) getIntent().getParcelableExtra("image");
TouchImageView userImage = (TouchImageView) findViewById(R.id.userImage);
try {
Bitmap bitmap = BitmapFactory.decodeStream(getContentResolver().openInputStream(image));
userImage.setImageBitmap(bitmap);
} catch (FileNotFoundException e) {
// TODO Auto-generated catch block
e.printStackTrace();
}
userImage.setMaxZoom(4f);
}

If by "locking" you want to prevent zoom and panning around you can just disable the user interaction:
userImage.setEnabled(false);
If you want to prevent just the zooming you can create your lock variable and modify your zooming method a little :
boolean zoomLock = false;
public boolean onScale(ScaleGestureDetector detector) {
if (zoomLock)
return;
...
//rest of your onScale method
}
Now all you have to do is set zoomLock to true or false when the user presses the lock button.
The easiest thing to disable interaction is to remove the onTouchListener from the ImageView. To achieve what you want, you'll need to modify TouchImageView class in the following manner.
First, add member variable private OnTouchListener touchListener;
Next, inside sharedConstructing method, replace code
setOnTouchListener(new OnTouchListener() { ... });
with code
touchListener = new OnTouchListener() { ... };
setOnTouchListener(touchListener);
This way you're saving your listener and can add/remove it as needed.
Finally, add method enableTouch:
public void enableTouch() {
setOnTouchListener(touchListener);
}
and method disableTouch:
public void disableTouch() {
setOnTouchListener(null);
}
Now, whenever you need to "lock" your image, just call disableTouch on your TouchImageView and wnever you need to "unlock" your image, just call enableTouch on the view.
