Google Map Maker - Speed limit - android

I would like to get the speed limit from different road using Google Map Maker (or another solution) to create an application (with appcelerator to be able to use it on iOS and Android) that warn me when I drive over the speed limit of the actual road (using GPS).
Very Cordially.

To get the speed limit data you can use nokia Here maps or Google.
For nokia Here refer this link and examples here
Google has started providing optional speed limit data.
See Roads Web Service section at following link. https://developers.google.com/maps/licensing

Is Google Directions API route recommendation updating according to real-time traffic?

I'm building a route recommendation app in Android Studio where the user can see the best route between two destinations on the map. I am using Google Maps APIs for that and I know that it's using Dijkstra's algorithm to determine the route. But I wonder if the API can update the route according to real-time traffic, I didn't find any information about that.
Google Maps is updated constantly – literally, every second of every day!

What is the best full free alternative of Google Maps

I am developing an Android and IOS application that uses Map, Directions, Route, Duration etc. Using the map is the main function of the application. I was using google maps for test, when the number of request is low, everything works fine but when the number of requests increase google maps stops showing directions etc. So I was showing the map of google and using the directions of OpenStreetMap, which is not good-looking and unfortunately doesn't include traffic in duration
(ex. showing 10min to somewhere that I know it will take 20 min) but I had no choice. Now I want to move to a new map that is complete and more professional. So I was searching about a map that provides directions, duration s with traffic and also with low cost than Google maps services. Do you have any suggestions?
What about creating my own map with OSM, does it take in charge traffic?
Thank you for help.
There is no advanced maps like google map but you can try Open street map as an alternative.
Try it and enjoy...

Plotting a GPS trail route on a Google map, embedding to site

New to Stackoverflow, did some searching and couldn't find anything that really matched what I'm looking for unless I'm using the wrong keywords. I did find guides on how to plot a route when you know the actual route, but I'm looking to do it from actually walking it, see below:
I'm fairly new to web development and am looking to plot maps of a trail on a website using an embedded Google map or some other free map platform if it's suitable (OSM?) I have an Android phone and I'd like to actually be able to:
(1) walk this route,
(2) take the GPS data somehow &
(3) match it up to a Google map to
(4) post it on my webpage.
That will help visitors know the actual route (which is not available on Google Maps in any detail) and have somewhat of a "guide" of the near-exact trail route. I imagine this can be done, as Runkeeper and other applications do this (with additional data on speed, time, etc.) for tracking your runs. I don't really want any of that additional data as much as I would like to just capture the GPS route itself, and have it in some format that I can then use to make a map out of automatically. Not sure where to start with this, or if it can be done easily. Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I have no experience in Java; very limited Javascript and OK in HTML/CSS. I've never used the Google Maps API either.
Thanks!
You may use API Picker lists to help you on the most common things you may want to do on a map or with location-based data, and this also suggests the API that most suits your needs.
Listed below are the useful APIs to plot a route on a map:
Polylines in the Google Maps Android API
Polylines in the Google Maps SDK for iOS
Polylines in the Google Maps JavaScript API
Directions mode in the Google Maps Embed API
Paths in the Google Static Maps API (a web service)
Links of useful APIs for whatever you want to do on a map can be found in the documentation.

How can I build a Google Maps URL for directions with waypoints that also works in mobile apps?

I'm working on a web application that makes use of the Google Maps Directions API. I am trying to create a hyperlink below some dynamically created directions (using lat/lon coordinates as waypoints) that will allow a mobile user to view and interact with the same directions on their mobile device.
As an example, I have created a directions link with 3 waypoints made from lat/lon pairs. The first is to the Southwest of Atlanta (33.67,-84.61). The second is to the North (34.01,-84.33), and the third is to the Southeast (33.66,-84.10). (Think of drawing a simple "A" shape over the city of Atlanta.) Using several aging 3rd party guides and other StackOverflow answers, I've made the simplest version of a maps URL that seems to return my desired result. It looks like this:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=33.67,-84.61&daddr=34.01,-84.33+to:33.66,-84.10
This directions URL works fine in a web browser, even a mobile one, but seems to have differing results in both iOS and Android native versions of the Google Maps application. Below are screenshots of some testing I was able to do on the above URL.
Android Google Maps app - Gives directions from the start address (saddr) to the first waypoint and ignores anything else.
iOS 9 Google Maps app - Gives directions from the saddr to the last waypoint and ignores points between!
The very same URL seems to play nice when you open it with:
Android Marshmallow Chrome
iOS 9 Chrome
iOS 9 Safari
Windows 7 Chrome
Does Google officially document these URL routes somewhere? What parameters can I use to accomplish my goal of consistency for direction link behavior across mobile platforms?
We can request multiple stop directions to launch Google Maps like below,
Forming the Directions URL
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&parameters
Usage:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&origin=Paris%2CFrance&destination=Cherbourg%2CFrance&travelmode=driving&waypoints=Versailles%2CFrance%7CChartres%2CFrance%7CLe+Mans%2CFrance%7CCaen%2CFrance
For more examples reach out to official documentation.
This would be the place to check the guide
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/directions/intro#Introduction
I'm not sure how different data set you get it in different platforms. but make sure you are giving a proper transport type, alterneteRequire flag and Optimize flag.
I noticed some trouble in parsing the polyline present in the legs which is giving some discontinued polyline path. I'm not sure though its my logic or the data is wrong.

How to get speed limit by using google maps api?

I want to get the speed limit of a specific route.
Is it possible to get by using any Google APIs ?
You can get it for free by using their test API app. You can edit the GPS points in the GUI or add them to the list like below.
https://developers-dot-devsite-v2-prod.appspot.com/maps/documentation/roads/full/inspector_with_api_key/#33.804563,%20-118.390564|33.806534,%20-118.389818|33.808062,%20-118.388568|33.810220,%20-118.387004|33.811542,%20-118.386693|33.814829,%20-118.386496|33.815859,%20-118.385744|33.817249,%20-118.384425|33.818196,%20-118.383715
Luckily now Google provides speed limit, by using their Google Roads API but only on their Premium Pricing Plan.
