Android Studio 0.8.6 Gradle project sync failed - android

I just installed the last Android Studio 0.8.6(beta) on my MacOSx Snow leopard. After creating a basic project, I have an error message
Gradle project sync failed ....
I added the mavenCentral() to repositories, in my build.gradle file. But it does not fix it:
this is my build.gradle:
buildscript {
repositories {
jcenter()
mavenCentral()
}
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:0.12.2'
// NOTE: Do not place your application dependencies here; they belong
// in the individual module build.gradle files
}
}
allprojects {
repositories {
jcenter()
mavenCentral()
}
}
The build.gradle in my android project looks like:
apply plugin: 'android'
android {
compileSdkVersion 19
buildToolsVersion "19.0.0"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "app.helloworld"
minSdkVersion 19
targetSdkVersion 19
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
runProguard false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:19.+'
}
Using the command line :
./gradlew assembleDebug --stacktrace
I otain this error message:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
What went wrong:
A problem occurred configuring root project 'HelloWorld'.
Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':classpath'.
Could not resolve com.android.tools.build:gradle:0.12.2.

I just open an old project on android studio, when I trying to run the app on emulator I see this error

A problem occurred evaluating project ':app'.
> Failed to apply plugin [class 'org.gradle.language.base.plugins.LifecycleBasePlugin']

I tried to delete the first line, but it's appear the new error

Error: Cause: Peer not authenticated -- Gradle build of android project

I researched similar questions but none of the answers solved my problem. When I try to build the starter code for a coding assignment I get the following error:

I didn't manage any of those files as I don't have gradle experience yet.
Could you help me to figure out what went wrong?
Thank you very much.
P.S.:
The log files give me this error:

Followed by a gigantic traceback.

Error:(19, 0) Gradle DSL method not found: 'android()'

Android Studio is giving this error while compiling the project. I have searched and found that this may happen because of
android
Block in top of the build.gradle.But in my build.gradle it may be not the problem.
here is my gradle files.
build.gradle

}
You're using Gradle domain-specific language (DSL) defined in the Android plugin before applying that plugin.
Remove the
android {
compileSdkVersion 19
}
in your top-level build.gradle. You already have compileSdkVersion 20 in your app build.gradle file where it actually matters.
now its showing "Error:(16, 0) Gradle DSL method not found: 'runProguard()'
runProguard was renamed to minifyEnabled in the Android Gradle plugin some time ago. You should rename it in your build script as well.
Not Solved:
I'm using gradle-experimental for doing NDK stuff.
Error:(13, 0) Dexcount plugin requires the Android plugin to be configured
MY Top level build.gradle file:
buildscript {
repositories {
jcenter()
}
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle-experimental:0.4.0'
}
}

jcenter()
}
}

Android Studio cannot resolve 3rd party dependencies

With the newer versions of Android Studio it has been advertised that you can add compile statements to the build.gradle file for 3rd party libraries that are available on Maven Central and Android Studio should be able to automatically download the appropriate dependencies. However I haven't been able to get the Gradle Sync to successfully complete when I try to add one of these libraries. Here is the build.gradle file for the project
apply plugin: 'com.android.application'
android {
compileSdkVersion 21
buildToolsVersion "21.1.1"
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.appsbysynapps.helloname"
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 21
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:21.0.3'
compile 'com.larswerkman:HoloColorPicker:1.5'
}
Here is the build.gradle for the module
buildscript {
repositories {
jcenter()
mavenCentral()
}
dependencies {
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:1.1.0'
// NOTE: Do not place your application dependencies here; they belong
// in the individual module build.gradle files
}
}
allprojects {
repositories {
jcenter()
mavenCentral()
}
}
Here is the error given out by Gradle
Error:A problem occurred configuring project ':app'.
> Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':app:_debugCompile'.
> Could not resolve com.larswerkman:HoloColorPicker:1.5.

I've been having the same issue for any 3rd party library I've tried to add. This is also a brand new project created in Android Studio 1.1.0 and offline mode is disabled. Any ideas for what is going on?

Gradle does not find jar in local repository

Using Android Studio 0.4.6
I've got the following gradle.build file:
apply plugin: 'android'
buildscript {
repositories {
mavenCentral()
mavenLocal()
}
}
android {
compileSdkVersion 19
buildToolsVersion "19.0.3"
defaultConfig {
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 19
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
runProguard false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.txt'
}
}
}
dependencies {
compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:19.0.0'
compile 'com.my.products.aproduct:aproduct.sdk.java:1.0.1-SNAPSHOT'
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
}
The jar is not found when building the project:
* What went wrong:
A problem occurred configuring project ':app'.
> Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':app:_debugCompile'.
> Could not find com.my.products.aproduct:aproduct.sdk.java:1.0.1-SNAPSHOT.

Although I can find the jar and pom file in my local repository (~/.m2) folder. I've checked the maven settings of android studio and they've added a local repository pointing to ~/.m2/repositories
I've also tried adding mavenLocal() and even a hardcoded path to the repository in my gradle file.
I have no clues anymore on what might be wrong ?
You are putting mavenLocal() in the wrong place.
buildscript {
repositories {
mavenCentral()
}
dependencies {
//use your version
classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:0.9.+'
}
}
apply plugin: 'android'
repositories {
mavenCentral()
mavenLocal()
}
Also I suggest you updating your AS version to the last release (0.5.7)
