set navigation drawer above view pager dynamically

I just want to put my navigation drawer on the top of my app, right after the navigation drawer my sliding menu should be displayed. So I figured out to do this with "android:layout_marginTop="xdp"/>". When I don't do this my nav drawer and the sliding tabs will overlap each other.
So my question is how can I do this dynamically with xml e.g. how can I get the height of the navdrawer to set the correct size for the marginTop?

How do you customize an XML layout of a navigation drawer selection?

Does anyone know how to do this?!?
I have looked everywhere online for 3 days now and every single tutorial only shows you how to make the drawer, but the problem is actually PUTTING THINGS AS THE LAYOUT for each selected item.
Please Help!

I am not sure if this is the exact answer you are looking for but I built a Navigation Drawer with the AppCompat (ActionBarActivity) library. I have also added things like spinners (drop down lists) into the Nav Drawer XML for a different screen.
Note: In this example I actually add entries programmatically into the XML but the XML is the framework for the drawer. I essentially make a vertical linear layout, scrollable list of links under id externalLinks.
Disclaimer: The purist Material Design person will note that my navigation drawer is below the action bar but I like the little hamburger -> arrow icon that is provided and didn't want to cover it up. The difference is the layout_MarginTop of actionBarSize.

DrawerLayout overlapped by another view

I implemented a Navigation Drawer as explained here https://developer.android.com/training/implementing-navigation/nav-drawer.html
I inserted the DrawerLayout xml code snippet just below the tag and above the others app views.
At runtime when open the Navigation Drawer the behind view is still clickable and I cant use the Navigation Drawer
I think I've to adjust the xml layout but I don't know how..

NavigationDrawer blocks other button on the activity

I'm working on the UI of my app and I'm facing a problem when I implement the Navigation Drawer. As you can see here, I have some buttons to manage my Media Player, these are not responding to my clicks when I implement the Navigation Drawer (working fine without Navigation Drawer).
I think the problem is coming from my XML file because there are no changing when I delete the implementation in Java.

To use a DrawerLayout, position your primary content view as the first child with width and height of match_parent and no layout_gravity. Add drawers as child views after the main content view and set the layout_gravity appropriately. Drawers commonly use match_parent for height with a fixed width. Check out the documentation of google regarding to DrawerLayout : https://developer.android.com/reference/android/support/v4/widget/DrawerLayout.html.
Your primary content should put inside DrawerLayout instead of including the DrawerLayout inside your RelativeLayout.
For your case, you could try to implement it this way instead:

how can i show my left navigation menu above all of the activity component?

what i have is a left navigation side bar which i made using the navigation drawer .. it works just fine but also in the same layout for the activity i have a three buttons .. and each time the menu appears it appears under the three buttons which is so weird .. i want this menu to appear above everything else in the activity .. here is my xml code :

The order of how you define things in the xml decide how they appear on the screen, also determines which view appears above or below which other view. For a Nav Drawer, The layout should be something like this :
