Import existing Android NDK project into VS2015 RC and RTM - android

I am working on a Android NDK project(it's cocos-2dx project)
and I want import this project into Visual Studio 2015.
I googled, but couldn't find any information about how to do this.
How can I import existing Android NDK project into VS2015?

I'm guessing if you got the VS2015 Community or Enterprise that was recently released, you could download it with the VS installer. If you already have a VS2015 installed, then go to Program and Features on you computer, go to Uninstall a program, look for Visual Studio 2015, click on it, the installer should come up, then click the modify button at the bottom of the installer, it should walk you through the installation process then you can check what you need to also be installed along with what is already there.

Xamarin - The project is missing Android SDKs required for building

I downloaded a fresh copy of Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition. For installation, I selected only the Xamarin workload for mobile development. I created a new Xamarin.Forms project and it immediately gives the following error:
When I double click the message, I am prompted to Accept the Android SDK License Agreement. I click accept, and nothing changes, I just keep repeating those steps.
Navigating to the Android SDK Manager shows an empty list with an error:
All the solutions I have found online have not worked for me:
Enable "Auto-Install Android SDKs" in Xamarin options
Run Visual Studio as Administrator
Create custom AndroidSdkManager.exe.config file
Uninstall and re-install Visual Studio
Verified JAVA_HOME variable is set correctly
The only thing that resolved the error (before I uninstalled) was changing the Android SDK Manager repository from Microsoft to Google:
This doesn't seem like a proper solution given the warning message shown so I am wondering what else I can do.
If this issue has not been resolved yet, try to:
Open Visual Studio as an admin because the software might be failing to read the files in your system.
Go to Visual Studio > Tools > Android > Android SDK Manager and go to the tools tab and install Android SDK Command Line tools.
Then now, you can double click on the error and the issue should be resolved.
I'm running VS2022 17.4.2 and the same issue appeared on a new 7.0 Maui Blazor App. Closing VS and Running as Administrator, reopening the project, then clicking on the error gave me a License Acceptance. After accepting, all is well.
I was running on Windows 7. The issue was resolved after upgrading to Windows 10 and the Android SDKs installed correctly.

Android virtual device not listed only in eclipse

I'm trying to debug my project in eclipse but when i open the android virtual device (avd) window my connected device isn't listed but in the universal adb it is listed and the status is ok.
The device is listed also in android studio.
What can i do to see the device in eclipse??
Android development support for Eclipse was ended in late 2015 as per this blog post.
To that end and to focus all of our efforts on making Android Studio better and faster, we are ending development and official support for the Android Developer Tools (ADT) in Eclipse at the end of the year. This specifically includes the Eclipse ADT plugin and Android Ant build system.
Since that time, there have been a number of changes to the ADB tools & protocol which have not been reflected in the Eclipse plugin due to it being deprecated.
I'd advise continuing your project in Android Studio. There is a wizard that allows you to import Eclipse projects by going to File > New... > Import Project... and select the folder for your current Eclipse project. Google have also provided a guide to migrating from Eclipse.

Target Platform is disabled in Xamarin Studio?

When creating a new project the target platform (Android) is already greyed out so can't proceed.
I have already linked SDK and NDK.
The Android check box will be disabled if you do not have Xamarin.Android installed or the Android addin is disabled in Xamarin Studio.
If you look in the log file (Help - Open Log Directory) it should provide more information.
Run the installer again and check what you want: Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS
The issue has been reported several times in several forums: I have searched all of them and found no answer that works in May 2017, now that Xamarin Universal Installer no longer is provided by Xamarin.com, only Visual Studio. Most answers I've depends on two things: one, that one loads the Android sdk, ndk and Java jdk and links up to them in the Tools Project Option -> Android. While an appropriate answer, this doesn't seem to fix the issue for those who have had it on a PC, like myself. I have also Visual Studio installed but wanted to see the Xamarin Studio. The other parts of the answers I've seen mention the use of Xamarin Universal Installer. Only manual install Xamarin Studio (via its .msi files) are now possible given the Xamarin.com offers.
However, even uninstalling and reinstalling Xamarin Studio--as was recommended in a forum--didn't seem to solve this issue. Normal uninstall via Control Panel of Xamarin Studio doesn't delete the local user info. This is, moreover, shared with Visual Studio. As far as I can see, it is the mixture between Visual Studio in its newest forms, and the Xamarin Studio in its earlier forms, on one and the same Windows PC that causes some configuration issues.
And so the solution seems to be that if you want Xamarin Studio to work on a PC with target platform Android, you should start with a clean PC and begin on the Android sdk and ndk, and the Java jdk, then install Xamarin Studio without installing Visual Studio first. Hopefully though the Visual Studio should be good enough.
Just click on restart button. From Tools > Add Custom Tools > SDK Locations in visual studio.

How to setup Eclipse for Android

I'm trying to get Eclipse setup for Android and have done the following steps. I'm using the book "Android 101" and basically following the steps.
(1) Installed Java SDK
(2) Installed Eclipse
(3) Installed Android SDK
I start Eclipse and go to Window->Preferences and expect to see Android in the list. I'm supposed to select Android then point it to where I installed the Android SDK. The problem is that I'm not seeing Android in the list.
I did not have any trouble with the Java or Android installs, and I didn't see any option in the Eclipse install specific to Android.
I've searched on Stack Overflow and Googled, and am not finding anything.
From inside Eclipse select Help->Install New Software then click NEW.
Install ADT from https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse
After that you point it to your Android SDK install location and the APIs all show up. Hit APPLY and OK, then ready to start working.
The best plan here is to follow the advice given on the Android Developers blog in June, 2015.
[…] we are ending development and official support for the Android Developer Tools (ADT) in Eclipse at the end of the year. This specifically includes the Eclipse ADT plugin and Android Ant build system. If you have not had the chance to migrate your projects to Android Studio, now is the time.
I'm a long-time Eclipse user, and I recently fired up Android Studio for some brief Android testing. There was definitely a learning curve, but it wasn't insurmountable.

Use Android sources plugin with Eclipse ADT bundle

I followed android.com's instructions for installing eclipse with android developer tools (ADT) bundle. I then in eclipse do Help > Install New Software... to attempt to install Android Source Plugin which I have happily used for at least a year on my old eclipse installation.
Attempting to install it using Java Rel7, I get an error which I found some bug reporting was due to running eclipse on Java Rel7. So I tried to run Java Rel5 but this version of eclipse needs Java Rel6. So I installed Java Rel6 and tried running eclipse on that and installing the Android Source Plugin, but that failed too.
Anybody else run in to anything like this? Know any workarounds?
You could try installing eclipse and the SDK seperately. I've had to install android a few times recently on different machines and this is the approach Ive taken. You can download eclipse from the eclipse website at http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/. (I have the first option Eclipse IDE for Java EE developers).
After that is installed you can install the android sdk using this guide http://mobile.tutsplus.com/tutorials/android/android-sdk-installation/
Also make sure if you want to test on a phone that you go into the android sdk manager (should appear somewhere in eclipse when SDK installed) and download the updates there.
