This is my Apps login page . problem with that is when i run app on larger screens phones it is ok with that but smaller screens are not showing my button . what is wrong with my xml. i have to use scrolls or some other solution exists. I did not use any absolute values so why i am having this problems.

the button is not appearing on smaller screens . any on can help me out of this. what can i do to resize automatically my layout to as screen of mobile. i have to use scrolls or some other solution exists. I did not use any absolute values so why i am having this problems.

you are using orentation verticle and weight property so u have give
android:layout_height="0dp"
insted
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
for ue child linear laouts only which are considered in verticle
hope it works for u..

use scrollView for the parent layout
Why are you using "sp" sp is more suitable for text, try using dp

scrollable layout not working

I'm a beginner in android. I'm creating a example phonebook using eclipse. i have few edit texts and a set off buttons in my layout.but when I run the project I can't see the buttons in the bottom of the layout, so I enclosed my main linear layout in a Scrollview. but after linear layout has become much bigger in height. i tried to resize it in the xml file but it is not working right after resizing the layout it automatically resizes in to the previous size. here's my code if anyone can help me.little help is highly appreciated.

You need to set ScrollView layoutWeight to 1 and its height to 0. This will ensure that your scrollview will take only remaining space on screen. Here is example of my app:

It shows scrollView and two buttons bellow it. I am not exactly sure what you want to do but as far as I can see you are doint it wrong. ScrollView can take only one child element but you have set scrollview as your main parent but then you put more child inside it.
Also you are doing another mistake. You dont need to use linear layouts (in most cases) if they have only one child. It is bad for performance.

Change the value of the attribute layout_height to match_parent so that the ScrollView take up the whole screen and hence enable scrolling. The correct code is

You could try changing

Full page size not showing when keypad is up in android

I have 5 edittext and 3 button in an xml fil.
When I focus on the first edittext, the scroll is only going half way but not showing till the end.
I have tried
android:windowSoftInputMode="adjustPan"
and the
android:windowSoftInputMode="stateAlwaysVisible"
but when i put this state always visible the problem is i hav tabs in my page that tabs will also jump up when i focus in one edittext
can anybody help!!

layout buttons are not the same size in android

I have two questions, the first is that I would like the buttons to be on the bottom corner of the screen stacked like they are (they currently are in the middle) and I would like them to be the same size, currently the top 2 buttons are bigger then the bottom two buttons. Also maybe lowering the texview boxes down a little if that is easy enough.
