Doesn't show actually position in locationManager in android - android

I creating an app to GPS tracking.
Unfortunetlly the app doesn't show actual location (lat,long). It always shows lat:50.059644 long:19.9206669. But I want to get and show the actual location of user(me).
It's my main activity:
Button btnShowLocation;
GPSTracker gps;
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_about);
btnShowLocation = (Button) findViewById(R.id.btn1);
btnShowLocation.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
public void onClick(View arg0) {
gps = new GPSTracker(About.this);
if(gps.canGetLocation()){
double latitude = gps.getLatitude();
double longitude = gps.getLongitude();
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Your Location is - \nLat: " + latitude + "\nLong: " + longitude, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
}else{
gps.showSettingsAlert();
}
}
});
}
And this is my GPS Tracker:
public class GPSTracker extends Service implements LocationListener{
private final Context mContext;
boolean isGPSEnabled = false;
boolean canGetLocation = false;
Location location;
private static final long MIN_DISTANCE_CHANGE_FOR_UPDATES = 10; // 10 meters
private static final long MIN_TIME_BW_UPDATES = 1000 * 60 * 1; // 1 minute
protected LocationManager locationManager;
public GPSTracker(Context context) {
this.mContext = context;
getLocation();
}
public Location getLocation() {
try{
locationManager = (LocationManager) mContext.getSystemService(LOCATION_SERVICE);
isGPSEnabled = locationManager.isProviderEnabled(LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER);
if(!isGPSEnabled) {
System.out.println("disabled");
//no network provider is enabled
} else {
this.canGetLocation = true;
if(isGPSEnabled){
System.out.println("gps wlaczony");
if (location == null){
locationManager.requestLocationUpdates(LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER, MIN_TIME_BW_UPDATES, MIN_DISTANCE_CHANGE_FOR_UPDATES, this);
Log.d("GPS Enabled", "GPS Enabled");
if(locationManager != null) {
latitude = location.getLatitude();
longitude = location.getLongitude();
}
}
}
}
} catch(Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();
}
return location;
}

You request location updates here:
locationManager.requestLocationUpdates
but don't wait for the updates to come.
You have to register your requests and provide a listener to the onLocationChanged method. That method will be called when you have a new location.
Other than that, in order for the process to work you can't initialize GPSTracker every time the Btn is clicked. Do it once and wait for updates.
Try this:
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_about);
btnShowLocation = (Button) findViewById(R.id.btn1);
btnShowLocation.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
public void onClick(View arg0) {
gps = new GPSTracker(About.this);
}
});
}
public class GPSTracker extends Service implements LocationListener{
private final Context mContext;
boolean isGPSEnabled = false;
boolean canGetLocation = false;
Location location;
private static final long MIN_DISTANCE_CHANGE_FOR_UPDATES = 10; // 10 meters
private static final long MIN_TIME_BW_UPDATES = 1000 * 60 * 1; // 1 minute
protected LocationManager locationManager;
public GPSTracker(Context context) {
this.mContext = context;
getLocation();
}
public Location getLocation() {
locationManager = (LocationManager) mContext.getSystemService(LOCATION_SERVICE);
isGPSEnabled = locationManager.isProviderEnabled(LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER);
if(!isGPSEnabled) {
System.out.println("disabled");
//no network provider is enabled
} else {
this.canGetLocation = true;
if(isGPSEnabled){
System.out.println("gps wlaczony");
if (location == null){
locationManager.requestLocationUpdates(LocationManager.GPS_PROVIDER, MIN_TIME_BW_UPDATES, MIN_DISTANCE_CHANGE_FOR_UPDATES, this);
Log.d("GPS Enabled", "GPS Enabled");
if(locationManager != null) {
latitude = location.getLatitude();
longitude = location.getLongitude();
}
}
}
}
}
#Override
public void onLocationChanged(Location location) {
double latitude = location.getLatitude();
double longitude = location.getLongitude();
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Your Location is - \nLat: " + latitude + "\nLong: " + longitude, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show()
}
}

How to get longitude and latitude values without using the Internet from the phone? If possible can i get code and i am using API 26

I want to get location using GPS only. I don't want to use internet and GPRS in this application. My code is below; tell me where I'm wrong in this.
code:
MainActivity.java contains the reference to the layout
MainActivity.java
public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {
private Button GetLocation;
private TextView coor;
private LocationManager locationManager;
private LocationListener locationListener;
GPSTracker gps;
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
GetLocation = (Button) findViewById(R.id.GetLocation);
coor = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.text);
gps = new GPSTracker(MainActivity.this);
GetLocation.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(View view) {
if (gps.canGetLocation()) {
double latitude = gps.getLatitude();
double longitude = gps.getLongitude();
coor.append("\n" + latitude + "" + longitude);
} else {
gps.showSettingsAlert();
}
}
});
}}

Try this!
Wrap the toast code in a method and call it recursively using Handler and Runnable:
public class AndroidGPSTrackingActivity extends Activity {
Handler showLocationHandler;
Runnable showLocationRunnable;
private static final int DELAY_TIME = 1000 * 60; //delay time - 1 minute
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {

setContentView(R.layout.main);
gps = new GPSTracker(AndroidGPSTrackingActivity.this);
showLocationHandler = new Handler();
showLocationRunnable = new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run() {
showLatLongToast();
}
};
//call the method once
showLatLongToast();
}
public void showLatLongToast() {
if (gps.canGetLocation()) {
double latitude = gps.getLatitude();
double longitude = gps.getLongitude();
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Your Locion is - \nLat: " + latitude
+ "\nLog: " + longitude, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
System.out.println("respmaillati::;;" + latitude);
} else {
gps.showSettingsAlert();
}
//call the same method after some delay
showLocationHandler.postDelayed(showLocationRunnable, DELAY_TIME);
}

The above code is for gps tracking class and following code is the activity code
public class GPSTrackingActivity extends Activity {
Button showLocation1;
// GPSTracker class
GPStracker gps;
#Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_gpstracking);
showLocation1 = (Button) findViewById(R.id.showlocation1);
// show location button click event
showLocation1.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(View arg0) {
// create class object
gps = new GPStracker(GPSTrackingActivity.this);
// check if GPS enabled
if(gps.canGetLocation()){
double latitude = gps.getLatitude();
double longitude = gps.getLongitude();
// \n is for new line
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Your Location is - \nLat: " + latitude + "\nLong: " + longitude, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
}else{
// can't get location
// GPS or Network is not enabled
// Ask user to enable GPS/network in settings
gps.showSettingsAlert();
}
}
});
You can use handlers and post delayed
handler=new Handler();
Runnable r=new Runnable() {
public void run() {
//Do your things
//Below line recursively posts for every minute
handler.postDelayed(r,1000*60);
}
};
handler.post(r);
Put below code in your activity class.
double latitude, longitude;
Handler handler = new Handler();
Runnable runnable = new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run()
{
latitude = gps.getLatitude();
longitude = gps.getLongitude();
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Your Location is - \nLat: " + latitude + "\nLong: " + longitude, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
handler.postDelayed(runnable, 1000);
}
};
handler.postDelayed(runnable, 3000);

How to store location co-ordinate every 2 minute in array in android

I am just beginning to learn android, but could not get proper idea, how to handle this, so I want to store every 2 minute location coordinate if i travel in bus.
What i am using:
public class AndroidGPSTrackingActivity extends Activity {
Button btnShowLocation;
// GPSTracker class
GPSTracker gps;
TextView tv;
ArrayList<String> cordsList= new ArrayList<String>();
#Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.main);
tv=new TextView(this);
btnShowLocation = (Button) findViewById(R.id.btnShowLocation);
btnShowLocation.setText("Start Save Location");
Log.i("Finall", "AndroidGPSTrackingActivity-> ");
// show location button click event
btnShowLocation.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(View arg0) {
// create class object
gps = new GPSTracker(AndroidGPSTrackingActivity.this);
// check if GPS enabled
if(gps.canGetLocation()){
double latitude = gps.getLatitude();
double longitude = gps.getLongitude();
String longlat=String.valueOf(latitude)+":"+String.valueOf(longitude);
cordsList.add(longlat);
// \n is for new line
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Your Location is - \nLat: " + latitude + "\nLong: " + longitude, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
}else{
// can't get location
// GPS or Network is not enabled
// Ask user to enable GPS/network in settings
gps.showSettingsAlert();
}
Log.i("Finall", "Location-> "+cordsList.toString());
}

Hello , every body, any idea, If i travel bus and my gps on then i travel 20 minute, then i want to save 10 co-ordinate in arrays. Any idea, how to do this. and stop after clicking STOP button.
Thanks in Adavance.
You are can use the Timer class in android which will give you the TIME_INTERVAL to call that class .In your case you can give the TIME_INTERVAL = 20000
Here is my example code :
public class MainActivity extends Activity {
Timer timer = new Timer();
GpsTracker gpsTracker ;
ArrayList<Double> arrLat= new ArrayList<Double>();
ArrayList<Double> arrLng = new ArrayList<Double>();
private final int TIME_INTERVAL = 20000;
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
gpsTracker = new GPSTracker(this);
timer.scheduleAtFixedRate(new TimerTask() {
#SuppressLint("DefaultLocale")
#TargetApi(Build.VERSION_CODES.GINGERBREAD)
#Override
public void run() {
latitude = GPSTracker.getLatitude();
longitude = GPSTracker.getLongitude();
System.out.println("lat------ "+latitude);
System.out.println("lng-------- "+longitude);
arrLat.add(latitude);
arrLng.add(longitude);
}
}, 0, TIME_INTERVAL);
}
}

Can't Get GPS Current Location's Latitude and Longitude Android

I am trying to get Current Location using either GPS or Network Provider. My device's GPS is enabled but I'm not getting Latitude and Longitude.
GpsTracker.java:

boolean isGPSEnabled = false;
// flag for network status
boolean isNetworkEnabled = false;
boolean canGetLocation = false;
Location location;
public double latitude;
public double longitude;
// The minimum distance to change updates in metters
private static final long MIN_DISTANCE_CHANGE_FOR_UPDATES = 10; // 10
// metters
// The minimum time between updates in milliseconds
private static final long MIN_TIME_BW_UPDATES = 1000 * 60 * 1; // 1 minute
// Declaring a Location Manager
