Export projects for Android Studio with different Unity versions - android

INTRODUCTION:
I exported android project from Unity version 4.6.1f1. After that, I imported it in Android Studio. I worked on a project for a few days and everything worked as supposed to.
When I change something in Unity, I just export android project again. In android studio, I delete ASSETS folder and then paste the new one that I get from Unity export. I did this in Eclipse to update my project. I am doing it now and everything works just fine.
PROBLEM PART:
Then, I updated Unity to version 4.6.2p2. I exported android project again. I changed ASSETS folder as usual. I also changed unity-classes.jar. I used this method in Eclipse before and it worked for me (apparently it worked for a lot of people, as my research on the internet confirmed it).
This does not work in Android Studio. I get error
Invalid serialized file version. Expected version: 4.6.2p2. Actual version: 4.6.1f1.
I tried: restarting Android Studio; cleaning and rebuilding project; syncing gradle; using other versions of Unity,... I also tried removing all dependencies, cleaning project, then adding dependencies again and rebuilding project.
I did not find any reference to this problem on the internet.
The only solution I get so far is to import project in Android Studio as new one and then do all the work again. But that is very undesirable.
Did anyone has this problem and come up with a solution that will not require making new project from scratch?

I did more research and here is the solution.
The problem is that Unity doesn't export all libraries together now. Specifically, libmain.so libmono.so and libunity.so are now separated and you need to change them also after you export project with new version of Unity (changing unity-classes.jar and assets folder is mandatory as before).
When you export project from Unity, you can find those libraries in libs/armeabi-v7a folder. In Android Studio, you can find them in src/main/jniLibs/armeabi-v7a folder.

How does one migrate libGDX projects to another system?

I have libGDX projects on one laptop. I need to move to another laptop. I am using eclipse on both windows laptops. I have a git repo I can push to and pull from. I know that I can clone the https://github.com/libgdx/libgdx-demo-cuboc and import it into eclipse as a gradle project. But when I try this with my libGDX projects the "Build Model" fails.
I suspect I did not export the project correctly from my source laptop.
Can someone please point out what I am doing wrong?

OK. When I exported the projects from Eclipse I exported as plain old Android projects (Export Android Application), so I figured that I should export the project as Generate Gradle build files but I get this error when I attempt to do so ...
... and yes I did this too ...
... and I still get the same error.
UPDATE: After accepting JH's answer. Thank you for your answer BTW.
I was able to copy files in the project, but with gradle one copies the files into the directory libGDX generated the base project. I was coping the files into my Eclipse workspace, which is why the files were not showing up in my Eclipse project ... I know confusing huh. Well I was able to get my project to build but whenever I launched the app if crashed at runtime (see java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Native method not found: com.badlogic.gdx.backends.android.AndroidGL20.glGenTexture:()) I decided to give up on Eclipse and migrate my project to Android Studio. After taking a quick look at the Android Studio I was FINALLY able to build my app and execute it without runtime errors on my new laptop!
For clarity here is what I did to migrate my project from one laptop to another.
1) I got the my code out my git repo.
2) I downloaded the latest gdx-setup.jar, 1.5.3, from the libgdx project.
3) I generated a project, being careful to use the correct values for: Name, Package, Game class and Android SDK. For Destination I used c:\Users\Me\.
4) I copied the directories android, core, html, desktop and ios directories from my git repo into the corresponding directories in the project that gdx-setup.jar created.
5) Then I started Android Studio and follow the directions found here: Migrating to Android Studio
6) updated my build.gradle to include google play service and BANG! it worked
You shouldn't have to export anything, just clone the git repository on the new computer and then import gradle project and build model.
You could even generate a new libgdx project with their project wizard and then copy the source files.

Phonegap 3.3 Android Project with Eclipse

I am trying to update my phonegap 2.1 project to the new 3.3 version. When I try and make a new project within Eclipse it does not include my source code into the project. I have tried making a project from the root of my project directory and from the root\platforms\android with the same result. Each time it makes a project using the CordovaLib directory and not my assets\www directory. I found another user with the same issue... Developing with Eclipse and Phonegap/Cordova 3 However this solution did not seem to work. If I make a project with existing code from either two locations my source code(www) directory is not used. I am using Eclipse SDK Version: 4.2.2 Build id: M20130204-1200. Any help is much appreciated!
Creating a new workspace solved this problem for me.

Migration from Eclipse to Android Studio

So,
as it seems that more and more people are using Android Studio i got curious and wanted to take a peek at it.
I have used Eclipse up until now and wanted to migrate a project to Android Studio. So i exported a gradle buildfile from within Eclipse, as android.developer.com suggested.
That worked fine, now i wanted to import that into Android Studio 0.3.2
When trying to import i got that Unable to import Eclipse project to Android Studio error. Now it is building.
But it got a new suprise, now before it is finished building, its asking specifically for an older Version of Gradle(1.6)... Ok, i can do that. Which leads me right back to the first error. So i tried this - Gradle version 1.6 is required. Current version is 1.8-20130730220035+0000
I can however create a New Project with Android Studio.
I've tried this for about an hour now and im getting sort of pissed, because it doesnt seem to know what it wants. Is it some sort of Bug or did i make some sort of mistake.
You're using a very old version of Android Studio. I'd recommend upgrading to 0.4.3. Versions later than 0.4.0 allow direct import of Eclipse projects instead of requiring you to do the cumbersome (and as you've seen problematic) export of projects from Eclipse; it's smarter about setting up the right plugin and Gradle versions. 0.4.3 has some important bugfixes over 0.4.0-0.4.2.
I've just migrated my projects. Here is two suggestions from my side.
Take the latest Android Studio.
Do not export / import projects from Eclipse. Most likely you are going to have errors in the project after this step. Starting from a clean project, which builds, will safe you a lot of time and avoid unnecessary frustration.
Create an empty Android Project in Android Studio. It must build without errors (⌘ F9). The start to enhance it using official Gradle Plugin user guide.
Create libraries folder and add all libraries in there one by one. Update build.gradle dependencies as mentioned in user guide. Make sure everything builds successfully.
After all libraries build you can copy-paste sources, resources and assets from Eclipse project to corresponding folders of Android Studio project. Make sure everything build as expected.
Now you can start with more advanced configuration like ProGuard configuration, release certificates etc.
I've done it in a couple of hours. Hope this helps you too.

Exporting an eclipse project as gradle

I have been trying to export my eclipse project as a gradle build file to use it with Android Studio but I can't seem to make it work correctly.
When I click "Finish" nothing happens. If I repeatedly click it, I can see a progress bar that shows for a millisecond and then vanishes.
My ADT is version 22.3 (which is the latest) and I have tried all of the solutions I found on google as well.

As you can see, there is not really a solid solution for this problem, but people wrote they created it manually. I don't know how to do so though.
Is there any solution for this problem that I haven't heard of? If not, how can I create the file manually?
Apparently, the current edition of the export-to-Gradle support in Eclipse cannot handle a project that is attached to an Android library project. In that case, you would need to (temporarily) detach the Android library project, export the main project, then modify build.gradle to use the library project (manually or via Android Studio).
Generating build.gradle files FIRST FOR ALL of the projects in my dependencies ONE AFTER ANOTHER worked for me.
I generated build.gradle (with export wizrd for facebook, play and whatever other projects I imported and used in my project).
For not trivial Android project you should do it manually.
For the latest build.gradle template for classic Android project check gh.c/N/n-1/b/m/o.n.e.e.g/docs/android/build.gradle.
You can continue to develop in Eclipse with ADT and run Gradle build using Nodeclipse/Enide Gradle for Eclipse

Android ActionBarSherlock on NetBeans - working but editor showing errors

I'm using NetBeans for android application. I installed properly (I think) ActionBarSherlock package as android library project. Everything works fine, I can build and run application, but code editor doesn't recognize ABS classes (just look at screenshot, BUILD SUCCESSFUL but errors exists) and code completion doesn't work too.
My configuration:
Stable NetBeans 7.2 with android plugin ver. 1.13
Linux Mint 13 Maya 64 bit, Mate
ActionBarSherlock ver 4.2 (stable)
How I installed ABS:
Download and extract source
From sdk/tools run command:
./android update project -p path_to_ActionBarSherlock/library/
Similar command to connect android project library with my test project (there is similar option in Netbeans IDE but I get error that this is not android library project)
./android update project -l path_to_ActionBarSherlock/library/ -p path_to_my_test_project
I have tried clean and build on both projects but no results. Any idea?

The way I finally managed to add ActionBarSherlock to my android project on Netbeans was to:
Download the latest version of ActionBarSherlock and unzip it
Go to the subfolder called library and remove the pom.xml file from there (with one of the previous versions it didn't work. I had to first build it, close it and remove not only pom.xml but also some netbeans properties files)
Open that subproject (library) in the Netbeans
Now this project will no longer be seen as a maven project. Netbeans will see it as an Android project. Then I:
Clean&build it
Add it to my-project's library properties (right-click on my-project, properties, library, add, point the proper location of library project). Important here was to copy/move that library project somewhere near my-project. Otherwise it claimed that it cannot open it.
And from now on it works fine.
Key to that thinking was that Netbeans didn't want to add the provided library project cause it saw it as a Maven project. When the pom is deleted, Netbeans no longer sees it as Maven project nut as an Android project and it can without any objections add it as an Android's project library.
Probably there are better solutions, but I didn't find any and that was the only one working for me.

You can also make a new Android project, and then copy and paste the needed files in the new project.
So only copy:
libs, res, src, AndroidManifest.xml
