Android can EditText make next focus to any view? - android

Normally, if I have many EditText in LinearLayout, when I pressed Enter in one of the EditText, it will automatically jump to next EditText.
My question is can I pressed Enter in a EditText and make it jump to other view(like ImageView,Checkbox...)?

Add onEditorListener to the EditText and catch the Enter press then you could do whatever you want. read it

NumberDecimal InputType with "Next" button

When a standard EditText has focus the softkeyboard shows a "Next" button to move the the next field (It does on my Nexus 4 at least) but if I have an EditText with inputType="numberDecimal" the keyboard instad shows a "return" icon. Is there anyway to force the keyboard to always show the "Next" button?
Just to clarify, I want the "Next" button available to move focus to the next available EditText on the screen once user input is completed for the particular field.
Example with "Next" button;
Example without "Next" button;
Have you added
android:imeOptions="actionNext"
in your EditText.
For those, If above not working while using in number mode you can still use :
android:nextFocusDown="#+id/parentedit"
where parentedit is the ID of the next EditText to be focused.

Need Prev,Next button above soft keyboard in android

I want to show the virtual keyboard with Prev, Next Buttons above the keyboard. When the user clicks prev button, cursor should move to the previous edittext input field and clicking on next button should go to the next edittext field in the view.
IF we open any page in android browser which asks input, we can see this kind of keyboard.
I need that to be implemented for the normal activity which I created. May I know how to do this ?
Thanks,
Senthil.M
For Next Button just add one line to your edit text field
EditText et1 = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.editText1);
et1.setImeOptions(EditorInfo.IME_ACTION_NEXT);
EditText et2 = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.editText2);
et2.setImeOptions(EditorInfo.IME_ACTION_NEXT);
and i m also search about previous Button
Please check
Add Button to Android Soft Keyboard
Simply set imeOptions to actionNext or actionPrev in EditText tag in xml like
<EditText
android:imeOptions="actionNext"
/>
And you can also set it programmatically like
yourEditText.setImeOptions(EditorInfo.IME_ACTION_NEXT);

How to change the Android softkey keyboard "Go" button to "Next"

I have a WebView which has a form containing 10 editboxes. When I type in an editbox I find that in the softkey keyboard Go button is visible which eventually takes me to the next page. But I want Next button which should take me to the next editbox, not to the next page. So, how to change the softkey keyboard "Go" button to "Next" in Android?
In the xml, specifiy for your editboxes the attribute android:imeOptions="actionNext" .
The next button will bring the user into the next field that accept input.
Take a look at http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/SoftKeyboard/index.html which may help you.

How to catch a soft keyboard 'enter/done' press?

I would like to know when the user presses the 'enter/done/next' key on the soft keyboard without the activity knowing which edittext box the user is in. I have seen some code, but it always uses the name of the edittext box that is being edited.
The app has numerous edittext boxes, and calculations are re-run anytime any one of the values in a edittext box is changed.
Then attach the OnEditorActionListener to all of them.
