Which in general is an imageview that takes the whole screen and acts as a background image, the above it i have a linearlayout (MainLinearLayout) that hold vertically a textview, an imagebutton (AngryImageButton) and another linearlayout (BottomLinearLayout) that is just display a small image (like the logo) horizontally centered.
I want to be able to change programatically the size of the AngryImageButton and the BottomLinearLayout to be displayed in the bottom of the screen and to be always visible. I mean to be on top of the other views.
Right now the BottomLinearLayout appears in the center and below the MainLinearLayout and if i make the AngryImageButton very large, it pushes below the BottomLinearLayout until its not visible in the screen at all, i don't want that. I want it to be at the bottom, and always visible.
How i can accomplish that? Also i want the layout to work in both orientations

To bring View to front, you can use
myView.bringToFront()
or You can make use of ViewCompat and set its translation Z like below.
ViewCompat.setTranslationZ(view, 1)

white border depending of size of the image

I want to make a ImageView of specyfic height (1/3 of the screen) with white border and the image will be resize according to the height (to keep the proportion) for example. It will be perfect if also I will be able to add TextView below the image. I want to obtain smth like that :

Android 2 Image view with half display in left side and half display in right side

I am drawing a Linear layout in Android to display 2 images with half image in left side and half image.
I draw like this :
but I want to draw like below, can you please help me to draw the image like below.

That will look like a 1 image.

You need to work on java for such output,
Set both image fit center,
And from Java set first imageview's right padding as -width/2, and second imageview's left padding as -width/2.
Here width is imageview's width.
It may help you.

LinearLayout above ImageView not getting displayin Fragment?

I have ImageView which needs to be shown in full height available. However at top i have created LinearLayout which contains Text and Image. I want it to display at top but also want to image to fit screen. I have linear layout at bottom and its working fine.
This is my code for LinearLayout which i want to show at top. I have hidden actionbar

If i dont set imageView scale type to android:scaleType="fitXY" then it works but image doesnt fit screen.
I want to display image to fit between above bar which contains Text and below it has some icons. But if i make image scaletype ='fitXY' it doesnt display above text. Following is screenshot but i want image to occupy space

If you want the image to be below the actionbar you should not use the FrameLayout as a parent. You either should use vertical LinearLayout with weight or `RelativeLayout". Try following code:

Also I doubt that you use fitXY as android:scaleType, because it doesn't maintain the aspect ratio of the image - so your image will be deformed (stretched). In your case you should rather use fitCenter, but it depends on how exactly you want to scale your image - you can also play with centerInside or centerCrop.

Relative Layout containing FrameLayout and few other components

What i am trying to achieve is to have a banner (much like facebook cover that spans across the top of the screen). And have a thumbnail photo at the corner left of the banner.
The height of the banner should only takes up about 1/4 of the height of the screen. Since i would need the rest of the space for other components.
Immediately below the banner i would like to have a TextView (on the leftside) and a button on the rightside.
So far i can only able to put the thumbnail on top of the banner, but i don't know how to place it on the lower left (i could set it using marginTop but, i believe this is not the correct way of doing it).
Does anyone know how to achieve this? Thanks.

From your description i think you want to make something like this:
I used a linearlayout with 2 layouts as content. Using the android:layout_weight attribute we can make the top layout take up 1/4th of the space, while the bottom layout has the rest to use.
Then to position the icon in the top layout we use alignParentBottom to make it stick to the bottom.
