I have a Collapsing toolbar and nested scroll view, I cant make it work

This is the Xml file, and I have a collapsing toolbar and a nested scroll view, but it isn't working, when I scroll the page the collapsing toolbar isn't working.
I have an image in the collapsing toolbar and a recycler view in the nested scroll view, when I scroll the recycle view the image view should collapse. But that isn't happening and is acting like a normal thing.

Having a recycler view as only child of nested scroll view is a bad practice since you are essentially taking away the one powerful aspect of recyclerview this way. Instead make the rest of the layout a part of nested layout as well and make recycler view android:nestedScrollingEnabled=false
After that add app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" to nested scroll view.

Try adding toolbar inside collapsingToolbar with
app:layout_collapseMode="pin"
app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|enterAlways"
Since collapsing toolbar is a frame layout you may have to adjust some margins to make it look like what you have right now

FAB not positioning inside CoordinatorLayout with RecyclerView

I am trying to display a list of items with a FAB to add a new item. The current screen is as below.
I have a CoordinatorLayout which has only a RecyclerView and the FAB. My problem is the FAB is not getting anchored to the bottom of the page, but to the bottom of the RecyclerView whose height seems to behave as if its wrap_content, but I've declared as match_parent. The RecylerView has a silver background for illustrative purposes.

I can't figure out why I am not able to position the FAB at the bottom of the page.

Try putting the RecyclerView in a 'content' layout file and add it to the main layout via
<include layout="#layout/content_recyclerview" />

The FAB should not be placed in the Fragment if it is to reside at the bottom of the Activity. Remove the FAB from the fragment and add it to the main activity. Like this:

Now in your fragment remove the FAB! It should reside in your main activity with the CoordinateLayout. Use a simple LinearLayout in your fragment.

You will need to make changes were appropriate in order to fit you your project.
Toggle FAB visibility
In order to toggle the visibility of the FAB add the following property to the FloatingActionButton in your Parent Activity.
android:visibility="gone"
and make it visible in code with:
mFab.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE);
or invisible, again with
mFab.setVisibility(View.GONE);
Whenever you need, eg. when a fragment is displayed or removed.

If you want to have some layout under fab, you should use relative layout as root layout. And put my code in this relative layout.

I use the following to anchor the fab at bottom of the recyclerView and it gives me my desired output. Try with this..

Android Scroll View in fragment crops content

I created a Scroll View which should allow me to scroll through all the content which is inside Linear Layout (that is a child of Scroll View).
Code looks like this:

I can't scroll down, this is all I can see.
If I allow to rotate I have horizontal view:
which now allows me to scroll but cuts the button entirely. (On the picture is bottom of view) I can pull down fast and I can see that the button is there but it goes up again (this android thing when you can pull slightly further but it scrolls back)
How can I fix this?

try adding this to the scrollView in your xml layout
android:fillViewport="true"

I have experienced the same problem once. I tried adding padding for the ViewGroup inside ScrollView. Then it worked fine. Its a hacky solution and not an ideal one.

I have added some padding to the LinearLayout inside ScrollView to make the view completely visible. The amount of padding required may differ for various screen sizes.

How to put RecyclerView below Toolbar and above TabLayout and ViewPager also handling responses to scrolls in a custom manner?

I want to create a layout like the below image:
A CoordinatorLayout which contain :
CollapsingToolbarLayout( contain ImageView & Toolbar)
RecyclerView
TabLayout
ViewPager( that each fragment of it contain a RecyclerView)
I wanna responding to scroll events in this way:
CollapsingToolbarLayout expand and collapse by scrolling
Toolbar sticks to the top until TabLayout reach to the top
After that toolbar scroll up and TabLayout stick to the top
I'm having trouble with the RecyclerView between CollapsingToolbarLayout and TabLayout. I can implement this layout without that RecyclerView( I put CollapsingToolbarLayout and TabLayout inside the AppBarLayout and the ViewPager outside it, inside the CoordinatorLayout).
My Question:
Where should I put that RecyclerView?
Which & where layout_scrollFlags and layout_behavior should I set for each layouts?
It seems that AppBarLayout have a limited height. When I put the RecyclerView inside AppBarLayout, only a portion part of the RecyclerView is visible and also TabLayout disappear.
I read lots of tutorials like this one and lots of questions like this one and this one, but non of them help me.

Start with AppBarLayout under which you add CollapsingToolbarLayout with scrollFlags="scroll|exitUntilCollapsed",
add LinearLayout with vertical orientation to CollapsingToolbarLayout and add the
FrameLayout with ImageView + Toolbar
RecyclerView
TabLayout

Two things to be done:-
When the search button is clicked, set the visibility of recycler view to VISIBLE
When the back button is pressed, set the visibility of recycler view to GONE
Following are the implementations:
1. Setting the visibility of recycler view to VISIBLE:

I know I might be late to this answer but I have also been trying to implement this for a while. The solution I have feels a bit hacky but it is an option for trying to get the tabs to stick. In a simpler solution lets say we wanted the following:
A Collapsing toolbar layout
Which links to a scroll view.
In that scroll view we want the following:
A recyclerview that say scrolls horizontally
Below the recycler view a tab layout
Below the tab layout we want a view pager that will load dynamic fragments within a fixed space.

This will allow you to forcefully place the tab layout in a location of your choosing (even if its after a recyler view).
The hacky part which i dont like is this specific line android:layout_height="680dp" which forces the viewpager height to be something specific. I am not sure why wrap_content or match_parent do not work. But this is the best thing to a solution I can provide for the issue of placing TabLayout and ViewPager in specific places.

RecyclerView cutting off last item

We can see here last item is partially visible. How can i fix this?

I'm also having the same problem. In my opinion this happened because you set the AppBarLayout XML attribute android:fitsSystemWindows="true". To solve this i give the RecyclerView margin bottom equal to action bar size

#Lester was right problem was RecyclerView's wrap_content height. But changing match_parent was not working because. This layout was added to a fragment and that fragment was declared wrap_content. So I have changed fragment's height and recyclerview's height to match_parent and now problem solved.

I had this problem with a RecyclerView inside a ConstraintLayout, and i changed my recyclerview constriants to "0dp" (match_constraint) and had no further trouble.

if you want to use the tools:itemCount="28" you will have to import xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools" in your XMLfile.

I tried all the available option from most of possible site but I didn't get the solution.
Then, I think can I use bottom padding? And Yes, It's work for me.

Use RelativeLayout instead of ConstraintLayout.It's working for me.

Add your recycler view into LinearLaout
After adding recycler view into Linearlayout add these two Attributes into recycler view.

Easiest but not the best solution. Still works;
Return +1 in the getItemCount() method of your RecyclerView.Adapter implementation and wrap your code in onBindViewHolder method override with a try-catch block.

For others.Disabling nested scrolling in recyclerview also causes this problem in CoordinatorLayout with scrollable toolbar or tablayout. Because when you scroll recyclerview, toolbar or tablayout doesn't scroll.

don't align recyclerview with respect to any view.. simply make it match parent and provide margin from top....this worked for me
