I am trying to design SwipeMenu Listview in Android. But i am facing issues while giving listeners to the parent relative layout of the adapter. So , the SwipeMenu is not coming and from SwipeMenuListView , the onTouchEvent is not getting called.
I follow the this tutorial to design SwipeMenuListView.

In my getView , if i will remove the onclick listener , then swipemenu is working , but if there will be a listener then the touchevent is not working.
So this the above codes of my issue , please suggest me some solution.
Just add android:descendantFocusability="blocksDescendants" to your relative layout.This should work. Like :

I try to use attribute android:onclick ="myMethod" on each element of my listview instead of define OnItemClickListener/onItemClick (too much verbose for me)
MyMethod is executed but how can i get clicked element (current context) ?

As a beginner, setting an OnItemClickListener might seem a bit scary, but it's really not a big deal at all (and a core concept you should be learning anyway!).
So if you have a simple layout with a ListView in it like this...

You can set up an OnItemClickListener with just this code:

So every time an item in your list is clicked, the onItemClick method is fired, and you can figure out which item was clicked by using the int position argument that comes in.
If i am right your question is about implementing on click listener on each listrow item instead of list row.
If that is correct this is how you should implement:
1.In your adapter of getView() method you might be inflating a layout for list row like below:

I made sure that my list view is clickable and focusable but still not working
One more thing I already define image button on layout item not on ListVew layout every time I run the app, is crashing and showing that null reference message in the log-cat do I need to define the button also on the ListView layout.

Implement View.OnClickListener() to your ImageButton in getView() method in your adapter, not in Medlistview activity. And use callback or eventBus to work with click action in your activity.

I have a ListView where I have a clickable ImageView for which I set OnClickListener in the Adapter class. I also have an onItemClick in Activity class.
So, as I supposed - onClick to ImageView should work first place, and onItemClick should work only if ImageView was not clicked. In reality when I tap Image - sometime onClick is working, sometimes onItemClick is working.
How can I separate these 2 areas easily? I know I can do 2 areas with onClicks for both in Adapter, but I wish to have onItemClick for the rest of the item except for the ImageView

Even scrolling is not working.

The following will do the job in your case.

If the touch events are getting intercepted inside the cell layout, in the layout for your custom cell, set
android:descendantFocusability="blocksDescendants" on the top level layout of your cell. For me, it was too much of a pain to add xml attributes to every individual view.
Note that this can also be set in code:
cell.setDescendantFocusability(FOCUS_BLOCK_DESCENDANTS);
I also tried this with a ListView inside a cell, and I had to override onTouchEvent to get it to work:

Check your list row layout once :
layout or any view should not be `android:clickable="true" and
android:focusable="true"
if it is there just delete and run the application again.
Even I was having the same problem, I am having checkbox, did the following to masker itemClickListener work,
Added the following properties to the checkbox,
android:focusable="false"
android:focusableInTouchMode="false"
android:clickable="false"
and ItemClickListner started working.

When using a custom layout for an item in listview, it turns out that OnItemClickListener does not fire.
Previously, I was using android.R.layout.two_line_list_item. All I did was swap out this deprecated layout for my own custom layout.
I have tried:
-setting the choice mode to single
-enabling long and short clickability in the parent list and list items
-enabling focus and descendant focusability
-requesting focus

I am guessing you can try setting android:clickable="true" in the customlayout's xml file. But the code of your layout file could be more helpful.
