Video Link
I want to create view and animation like Apple Music App available in iOS. But, I want to do it in Android similar to above video link.
Is it possible to create such views in Android? How can I achieve this? How to proceed in this?
Please share any links and references.
This question is already asked but has no answer.
I want to implement something like Apple's new Music app which is synced with iTunes. Bubbles on the move, according to mood we can select a music, genre etc.
I want this type of gesture with moving bubbles in Android. Can anyone help me out, how to figure out and play with Gestures or Motion Controls of that bubbles anywhere in screen. Also is there any support library if available would be very helpful to implement and move further. The bubbles are to be created randomly by a web service call.
Any suggestion in this will be helpful.
i have used box2d with libGdx to configure the gradle in android studio...
u can refer my project on github which has selectable bubbles in random motion, and u can ask if any doubts...

I'd like to implement bookmarks app allowing to save a bookmark for a particular moment in a youtube video so that it would be possible to jump back to the given second of the video.
I'd like it to be seamlessly integrated with the native youtube app. Is it possible to create a transparent layer on top of youtube app so that I could add this kind of functionality? I mean kind of button in the corner of the screen allowing to save the exact moment of the video. To do that I need to know what youtube video is being watched and what is the moment? Is it doable?
I have no experience with android development, but I'm a skilled Java programmer.
This is a link to a youtube video which takes you directly to a certain moment in the video: https://theyoutubevideolink?t=36m42s (Note everything after ?)
This also works on the current Android YouTube App you can click on the link and it will directly take you to the moment. So it is possible to simply save that link to an external overlay/database.
But before thinking about that you understand Root permission is needed to be able to do this as an overlay. If you are fine with this, it is doable there are many open source YouTube apps with changes made to them on XDA Developers for example, and a simple database addition can the trick for this.
[EDIT]
Well I just went on the YouTube app and you cant hold a time-link like for example on LinusTechTips new video on mobile if you scroll down to the comments you will see many comment showing 0:55 which if you click on can take you directly to that moment in the video. Because we cant hold or anything else than just click, You will need to re-write so you can highlight etc.. which is why i mentioned before about having root access since you cant install third party YouTube apps it has to be re-written and just made into another app. To start you off check this re-written YouTube app called SkyTube: https://github.com/ram-on/SkyTube
I have an Android app which plays mp3 files. I have programmed its main functions like play/pause forward, backward buttons, manipulating by SeekBar, getting current position and so on. Now I want to make my app to continue playing even I closed my app. And when I close it, I want to appear thing like widget in status bar with basic actions (displaying app icon, track name, play/pause button). And also, I want to SeekBar work properly when I reopen my app. Can anyone help me. I'm beginner in Android Java, so it would be perfect if your answer contains steps. Thanks beforehand
I think this tutorial perfectly match your query
Android custom notification for music player Example
It think you need to read this articles:
1) https://developer.android.com/guide/components/services.html?hl=ru - this articles can help you to play music on background. It's very important component of youar app;
2) If you want to provide a widget - just see this article https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/appwidgets/index.html?hl=ru
3) If you want to show notification in status bar, see - https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/notifiers/notifications.html

What I mean to say while you're just getting started with the development and say you add a slider theres a predefined skin for that and you can place it somewhere on the screen, but in some apps there are things like a knob in a place of slider which you can rotate to do the same stuff what the slider does . How do they do that, does it require openGL or something I am not asking for a complete tutorial or something just curious on what stuff goes into building such thing
Mostly, if something is not provided out of the box, you will have to build your own control.
For example, you mention a Knob. That isn't available in the Android SDK. Such a control could prove to be useful.
Here is a tutorial to build such a custom Control: http://go-lambda.blogspot.in/2012/02/rotary-knob-widget-on-android.html
This is an image of the final result from the tutorial linked above:
Here is an example of a custom slider / seek bar: http://permadi.com/blog/2011/11/android-sdk-custom-slider-bar-seekbar/
This should give you a rough idea on how to go about creating your own custom views.
And finally, what I personally find the best possible resource for keeping track of almost all good Custom Views is here: http://www.androidviews.net/
The androidviews.net website has shut down. Android Arsenal is a new website that lists several third party Android libraries.
I am writing a countdown timer for android right now and I want to give the user the possibility to customize the sound used for it. Rather than offering a set of fixed sounds i would prefer to give the user some settings in the hand with which the sound can be customized (and the app generates the sound based on the user settings). I would like a basic bell/gong type of sound, nothing fancy.
I found libraries like jass which offer this kind of audio generation yet i havent found something which i can use for android.
It would be great if somebody could give me some ideas in which direction to look.
I have a ListView in Android that needs to have the ability to be manually reordered. An example would be within Android's Music Player application, when you can change the order of tracks in a playlist. I know how to programmatically change the order of a ListView, but not how to do it in regards to a touch and slide approach that can be found in the Music Player application.
Thanks in advance,
groomsy.
There's nothing in the framework for this at the moment, you'll need to look at the Music source code to get an idea of how to implement this. You can also, of course, copy over parts of the relevant implementation as you see fit.
