Please! Can you help me!

Here's how you can change the tab indicator color, and tab text colors when they are highlighted and not highlighted:
TabLayout tabLayout = (TabLayout) findViewById(R.id.tabs);
tabLayout.setSelectedTabIndicatorColor(Color.parseColor("#FFFFFF"));
tabLayout.setTabTextColors(Color.parseColor("#707070"), Color.parseColor("#FFFFFF"));
You can change the color of your tabs with android:background="#231f20" in the layout xml file.
Edit Just make sure you are using latest android support libraries.

Add this two files in your project

Android Toolbar and SlidingTabLayout size

Why not use TabLayout from Android Design Support Library? In my own experience I found it better from both visual and simplicity of usage perspective.
Add to your build.gradle dependencies closure:
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.2.0'
compile 'com.android.support:design:23.2.0'
Replace your SlidingTabLayout in XML with this:
<android.support.design.widget.TabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabs"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
app:tabGravity="fill"
app:tabMode="scrollable" />
Grab it in your Java code:
TabLayout tabLayout = (TabLayout) findViewById(R.id.tabs);
tabLayout.setupWithViewPager(pager);
I was facing the same problemm until i tried this:
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:background="#color/white">
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
android:theme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Dark.ActionBar"
android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:id="#+id/toolBar"
app:popupTheme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Light"
app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|enterAlways|snap"
android:background="#color/colorPrimary">
</android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar>
<android.support.design.widget.TabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabs"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="#color/colorPrimary" />
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<android.support.v4.view.ViewPager
android:id="#+id/pager"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
android:layout_height="match_parent"/>
</android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout>
This is the result for me:
Hope it helps!!!

View Pager with scroll view inside a TabLayout

I have an issue (not a big one i hope)
I change my layout in my app for adding the TabLayout in the design developper Librairy.
The issue is :
On one of my fragment (tab) i have a scrollview, but i can see the end of the scroll (missing some textview, and other UI element)
Here my xml where there is my viewPager
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:id="#+id/main_content"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:id="#+id/appbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/tool_bar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="#color/ColorPrimary"
app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|enterAlways"
app:popupTheme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Light"
/>
<android.support.design.widget.TabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabs"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="50dip"
app:tabGravity="center"
app:tabMode="scrollable"
android:gravity="bottom"/>
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<android.support.v4.view.ViewPager
android:id="#+id/viewpager"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
</android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout>
Here my xml view with the ScrollView
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout
android:id="#+id/swipe_container"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent">
<ScrollView android:id="#+id/scrollView1"
style="#style/bold_text"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:padding="5dp">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:orientation="vertical">
<!--** A lot of thing inside not very important for the problem I think**-->

Before trying to use TabLayout i have a custom Methode for SlidingTab :
Here see the previous XML

android:id="#+id/tool_bar"
layout="#layout/tool_bar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
/>
<theappbeginner.fr.dofuStuff.utils.SlidingTabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabs"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:background="#color/ColorPrimary"
android:elevation="2dp"/>
<android.support.v4.view.ViewPager
android:id="#+id/viewpager"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_below="#+id/tool_bar">

How can i develop the PagerSlidingTabStrip with images in android?

I am using the PagerSlidingTabStrip in myapp .In this titles are setting fine but images are not setting tabstrip .I searched alot in google but didn't get the correct result.But this is very important for me.
Please see screenshot below
Advance thanks to all.
I was also interested doing same as yours, Finally I did it for you.
Import 'SlidingTabsBasic' demo from android-sdk sample or download it from google android samples from Here.
1.create custom_tab.xml with only a TextView
2.In 'SlidingTabsBasicFragment.class' do below changes:
-add this code in onViewCreated()
mSlidingTabLayout = (SlidingTabLayout) view.findViewById(R.id.sliding_tabs);
mSlidingTabLayout.setCustomTabView(R.layout.custom_tab, 0);
mSlidingTabLayout.setViewPager(mViewPager);
-in SamplePagerAdapter class, replace this function code
public CharSequence getPageTitle(int position)
{
//return "Item " + (position + 1);
Drawable image = getActivity().getResources().getDrawable(imageResId[position]);
image.setBounds(0, 0, image.getIntrinsicWidth(), image.getIntrinsicHeight());
SpannableString sb = new SpannableString(" ");
ImageSpan imageSpan = new ImageSpan(image, ImageSpan.ALIGN_BOTTOM);
sb.setSpan(imageSpan, 0, 1, Spannable.SPAN_EXCLUSIVE_EXCLUSIVE);
return sb;
}
If you have done it properly, You will get something like this:
Hope this will help!
Well it wasn't hard looking at the code of SlidingTabLayout I have commented few lines of code. The code is self explanatory i guess.
Well you can customize it according to your needs.

Android Studio - Sliding Tabs appear below action bar instead of on action bar

I've created a set of sliding tabs with view pager to put into my activity_main.xml. In the project the tabs show below the action bar as if they are divided.
I'd like to have them look like they are a part of the action bar.
What should I edit in my code to accomplish this?

I've scoured the web for an answer but can turn up nothing that works for my particular project.
To answer my own question, it will take a few steps to achieve this. First you need to create your own custom action bar in an seperate XML file. Then you need to apply a "NoActionBar" Theme to the activity that you want to put the action bar with silding tabs in. Then you need to write in Java that you want to set the action bar in that particular activity to your own custom action bar. Then I believe, don't quote me, you need to add the sliding tabs in the action bar layout file along with the view pager.
Obviously there are a lot of steps and it is very hard to explain them in this way. SlideNerd has a superb set of video tutorials on how to do this in case you're a visual learner.

Android tabs textview hidden

I'm using the basic SlidingTabStrip and SlidingTabLayout to create material design tabs for my app.
My app initially had 5 tabs, one of which was partially hidden. On making it to 4 tabs, it tried to adjust the tabs in one view, and consequently split one of my tab's name and displayed it in two lines. On setting maxLines for the textview to 1, it shortened my tab name and displayed only half of it.

Here's my MainActivity:
public class MainActivity extends ActionBarActivity{
private ViewPager viewPager;
private TabsPagerAdapter adapter;
//private Toolbar toolbar;
SlidingTabLayout tabs;
CharSequence titleArray[] = {"From/To", "Stops", "Favourites", "Near Me"};
#Override

setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
viewPager = (ViewPager) findViewById(R.id.viewpager);
adapter = new TabsPagerAdapter(getSupportFragmentManager(),titleArray);
viewPager.setAdapter(adapter);
tabs = (SlidingTabLayout) findViewById(R.id.sliding_tabs);
tabs.setDistributeEvenly(true);
tabs.setViewPager(viewPager);
}
}
I can't upload a picture though, it won't allow me to. There's a problem with the weights, since it's trying to fit all my tabs in a single page. Is there a way I could display the full name of my tab in any way, even if it exceeds the page width (remains scrollable though)?
Thank you.
Alright, solved it! The code was adding padding to left and right of tab text, which I set to 0 by the following code in createDefaultTabView(Context context) in SlidingTabLayout. It works perfectly!
int padding = (int) (TAB_VIEW_PADDING_DIPS*getResources().getDisplayMetrics().density);
textView.setPadding(0, padding, 0, padding );
