How to implement Lock Screen for Lollipop? - android

I could not find a good solution for the question. Some of them say using flags you can achieve it. But I think it is too old and it will not work for Lolipop.
I have a project on my University Last Semester and I am hard working on that, I have implemented all of the other features but failed for this.

There are no lock screen APIs for Lollipop - the only APIs for displaying things on the lock screen for Lollipop and higher devices is through notifications.

StatusBar not showing on MIUI and EMUI devices

I created app for Android(with Xamarin Classic). I did the testing and everything is fine, except for one thing: StatusBar not showing on MIUI and EMUI.
I understand that these firmware have their own peculiarities. but I almost did not find any information about it. Only this question, this quote:
your android device does not support that feature. For example, there
are different custom ROMs that manage the status bar in an
unconventional way like MIUI, EMUI, etc.
Please help me, any tips and tricks.

Android Layout resize and multiple emulations

I am going to create an app for devices with Android OS 2.1 and higher. As many developer I met layout problems and after reading about that in the official android documentation I decided to follow a way; I created 6 directory one for every screen density (ldpi, mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi, xxxhdpi). What I want to know is if I did it right, I know that layout could be not exact at 100% but could I'll meet serious problems doing that? What I should do?
The second problem is checking app in many devices in the same time, I use Android Studio and I am able to create devices and use emulators but there is a plugin or a website or something else I can use to test quickly the app in tens of Android devices without set all manually?
Thanks in advance!

android setting up lock screen widget

I need to develop an app including feature to add widget on lock screen.
I tried that on 3 devices so far -
1) Samsung Galaxy s4 (KitKat 4.4) - It worked well, if the lock is swipe screen lock,
but doesn't work in case of pattern lock. Even in case of swipe lock, I am unable to add it on main lock screen, instead it appears on second or third screen, navigated from the main lock screen to its right.
2) Samsung Galaxy Grand (JB 4.2.2) - same behaviour as above.
3) LG ls970 (JB 4.1) - It doesn't seem to provide lock screen widget feature at all.
So, what must I do in case I need that to be worked in most of the devices.
What may be the issue by the way - Is it version specific issue or the brand specific or both.
Please let me know the solutions.
Thanks
Lock screen Widgets is not provided by "default" in "older" versions of Android.
Speaking of older - ALL DEVICES THAT ARE >= Android 4.2 SUPPORT lock screen widgets.
OLDER devices < Android 4.2 does NOT SUPPORT this feature. That's the problem
You can get more information on this topic here: Lock screen Widgets
And btw, make sure just to read more on the Google's provided information about Android. It supports search too!

Invert colors on Android 4.0 (ICS)

I have a widget that makes use of a new feature that, according to the infinite wisdom of the intarwebs, is stock in Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Conveniently, my phone is just that.
This widget inverts the screen colors for the phone. Not just an app; the screen in its entirety.
I started playing around with an amazing app called Tasker the other day that can do some crazy-powerful things; including run scripts, send commands to the phone, etc.
I'm trying to figure out where in the world this inversion lives so I can tap into it myself via Tasker, but I'm falling short everywhere. The Android API documentation is Greek to me, and Google seems to only ever want to point me to people talking about how great the feature is.
Any ideas as to where I can find this feature/function/action/whatever in a programmatic sense?
Thanks much in advance! Any help will be most appreciated.
I've searched and the only thing I found is when it's available on custom roms/kernels.
I don't think it's available for stock roms.

Overview of steps necessary to make application ICS-compatible?

I'm trying to make some of my applications available on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) devices. It would be helpful to know the different things to look for, as sort of a checklist.
What are the generic steps necessary to make an application available and functional on an Ice Cream Sandwich device? I'm not looking for every single potential API change to make, but any detail would be appreciated.
One thing I have encountered relating to usability is that if you have a fullscreen activity, to allow some way to exit it or go back since phones might not have hardware keys to send the back event. Basically, never assume that the user has hardware keys available.
Google also recently released a design guide for ICS available at http://developer.android.com/design/index.html
Well, as Blundell said, it should work without any problems. I have however, found one quirk while running ICS in the emulator with my apps (maybe this applied to Honeycomb as well, no idea).
Here it is - if you have an app widget, and you don't provide the android:previewImage attribute in the appwidget-provider configuration, your widget will not be visible in the "Widgets" tab. You can use an app that comes with the ICS emulator (Widget Preview) to generate this preview image.
