Force Android App to have Jellybean Theme? - android

I am making an Android app and was messing around with styles. Instead of using the Material Light/Dark or other themes that I could find, is it possible to render the phone in Jellybean? I would like the look and feel of Jellybean while keeping the functionality of Lollipop. Does anyone know how to do this?

StatusBar not showing on MIUI and EMUI devices

I created app for Android(with Xamarin Classic). I did the testing and everything is fine, except for one thing: StatusBar not showing on MIUI and EMUI.
I understand that these firmware have their own peculiarities. but I almost did not find any information about it. Only this question, this quote:
your android device does not support that feature. For example, there
are different custom ROMs that manage the status bar in an
unconventional way like MIUI, EMUI, etc.
Please help me, any tips and tricks.

Will theme affects the color change in different devices?

I have set the theme as DeviceDefaultTheme.Light for my app, but now what the problem is when I was running my app in marshmallow os device and kitkat os device I am seeing the color difference in both the devices I was in struck.
Please help me to fix this.
Thanks in advance.
The problem is that older androids have different system object style (think about material design and older designs), so the theme color is, in the end, the least of the problems.

Android App Development - Theme Trouble

My first question :-)
So recently I took up app development, and was going through the tutorial posted here:
http://developer.android.com/training/basics/firstapp/index.html
I finished part 1 - "Building Your First App" and followed exactly every instruction.
According to the Google tutorial, the result should look like:
http://developer.android.com/images/training/firstapp/firstapp.png
However, when I ran the app using the emulator (Platform 4.2.2, API level 17), the app was missing the theme, meaning only the black bar with the app icon and a white background.
I don't know what is wrong, when I created the application (project), I made sure to set the theme to "Holo Light with Dark Action Bar" as instructed in the tutorial.
Is it because I am running the app in the emulator? If not, then what do you think I should do to fix the issue?
Thank you very much :-)

Theme.Holo.Light.DarkActionBar is a light theme with a dark ActionBar, so your app does not look wrong. If you want a dark theme, then use Theme.Holo.

Is Holo theme included in all 4.0 devices?

I'm using android:Theme.Holo in my activity and I'm wondering if there's any way this can be not recommended. I mean if it's possible that Holo theme is not present in the device (obviously in >=Honeycomb).
In case it's not present, I guess the app would just crash, wouldn't it?
Holo theme is mandatory on all Android 4.0 devices that are running Android Market.
Yes Android 4.0 showcases the Holo theme family, further refined since its debut in Android 3.0. Indeed, Google continues its approach to unify the user experience on various Android devices by imposing native Holo theme (and its variations: Holo Holo Light and Light DarkActionBar) to access the Marketplace. So to ask your question all devices that run Android 4.0 uses the Holo theme.
As the other answers say, Holo is mandatory in 4.0, but if you want to support Holo on pre-4.0 phones then check out HoloEverywhere, https://github.com/ChristopheVersieux/HoloEverywhere.

how to change the themes and icons of Android 2.2 OS?

I am Optimizing the Android 2.2 OS to make it in such a way that it can be ported to the tablet. Can anyone suggest me how to change the themes and icons of Android 2.2 OS.
I asked a similar question in another forum about a custom UI, and why Sense from HTC is the way it is. I was given a brief answer, but I think it applies to you too: It involves a custom UI application that overlays on top of what is pre-existing.
