Why is my Toolbar not collapsing when scrolling?

I am wanting my Toolbar to collapse/hide when scrolling down the recycler view in this fragment however when trying what it says in other posts, it still isn't scrolling. I have tried to add app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|enterAlways" to my toolbar as well as app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" to my viewpager but neither seems to work. Here is my code:

The solution was removing the Relative Layout in activity_main.xml. I am not exactly sure the happenings behind why, but I believe it was somehow causing my toolbar to not close as expected because otherwise it would ruin the Relative Layout potentially? Here is the updated code:

Toolbar overlapping other contents android

I have a BaseActivity which contains the navigation drawer.
So , now my other activities will extends from the baseActivity to get the navigation drawer as well.

The problem is my toolbar is overlapping my contents.See below.

I'm guessing that either using two appbar_scrolling_view_behavior or, when replacing the Fragment would cause the issue.
So, if you have something like this in your app (when trying to show Fragment):
..replace(android:R.id.content, yourfragment())
Change the view to your FrameLayout id content_frame:
..replace(R.id.content_frame, yourfragment())
And use the layout it as follows:

Try delete your AppBar theme and toolbar popupTheme:

Toolbar doesn't hide on Scrolling recyclerview in DrawerLayout

hello I'm trying to hide toolbar when i scroll recyclerview which is in fragment, my layout also has an drawerlayout and tablayout. I'm trying just to hide toolbar and move tab bar up.

I have tried most of the answers which i have found in Stack overflow still i was unable to get it done. Am I doing something wrong? will someone please help me out with this trying to get this done sense 1 week.

Can you elaborate more on what is going wrong? The biggest issue I see here is that you have the exitUntilCollapsed flag set on your CollapsingToolbarLayout's layout_scrollFlags. If you are unable to get the Toolbar to scroll off screen, that is the culprit. Your AppBarLayout needs to be set up like this:

Also, if all you need is to have the Toolbar scroll off-screen, you don't need a CollapsingToolbarLayout. You can just have the Toolbar with app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll", like so:

Android DrawerLayout,CoordinatorLayout and AppBarLayout white space under AppBarLayout

I have the bellow XML layout, everything working as expected but the problem that there is a white space between the AppBarLayout and Recyclerview.

Try to use below code in the RecyclerView.
android:layout_gravity="fill_vertical"

I im just facing the same problem. It seems that this is space is reserved for the upper indicator bar.
For the moment, I have solved with android:fitSystemWindows="false" in the DrawerLayout itself, and in (this is important, you have to change the both) in the first layout content.

Toolbar collapse on scroll with Drawer Layout, Coordinator Layout, and Fragments

I'm trying to get the toolbar to collapse on scroll, but no matter what answer I follow I cannot seem to get it to collapse on scroll. The fragment that gets inflated in the FrameLayout is a View Pager if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well i am not talking about any thrid party library, it is included support design library. Your toolbar and image view have to be in CollapsingToolBarLayout
