Recyclerview does not follow the collapsing toolbar - android

I created a collapsing toolbar and placed a recyclerview below it but when I run the app the cardviews inside the recycleview overlaps the image of the collapsing toolbar .How can I fix this

Well, I think you need to add this line app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
in your RecyclerView
Eg:
<android.support.v7.widget.RecyclerView
android:id="#+id/recyclerView"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
Most importantly you will also need to add
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
in coordinatorLayout tag.
Another point: Make sure you're using com.android.support:recyclerview-v7:22.2.0 with prior version it might not work properly

Make nested scrollview not scroll completely

In my activity XML I have a Collapsing toolbar and, after that, an referring to my other XML where I have a NestedScrollView.
This is an image of the collapsing toolbar when it is NOT collapsed.
When I scroll up, it becomes collapsed and the NestedSrollView appears like this:
I want it to scroll just to some point like this and after that the user cannot scroll more:
How can I achieve this?

How to make toolbar transparent who's parent is Appbarlayout?

I have tried using styles and android:background:"#null" / android:background:"#color/transparent" inside AppBarLayout as well as inside V7 toolbar nothing seems to workout.

On your AppBarLayout you need to set
android:background="#null"
or
android:background="#android:color/transparent"

The thing is that if you have layouts inside your toolbar like here you probably need to set their backgrounds aswell

Actually the appbar is already having the elevation that's why it makes all the views to gets inside of itself.
So just you need to give app:elevation="0dp" to the appbar layout. It gives all other views freedom to stay over itself.

I am using Coordinator layout and Collapsing toolbar in my app and the toolbar is only half visible

So inside the collapsing toolbar layout i have a toolbar and its stuck at the top.There should be a toolbar below which there is a view pager .
I am not able to figure out why. If its a silly mistake forgive me. I am new to android.

I am replacing the frame layout with fragment. The toolbar in my activity is getting replaced by the fragment toolbar once the fragment is back pressed. I hope this helps explain my problem more clearly.

CollapsibleToolbar not showing completely wrong

I decided I wanted to add a collapsible toolbar to a part of my app today. I followed a guide (as I really knew nothing about collapsible toolbars) and it totally went south. Everything is showing incorrectly. Please excuse my lack of experience with these types of layouts. Thanks in advance you wonderful people of StackOverflow

Ok, I figured it out. It is because I (stupidly) didn't have the appbar layout as the parent for the collapsing toolbar, instead it was itself. Correct layout looks like:
