AngularJS has some useful directives like ng-repeat that allow us to render repetitive elements easily, is there something that simplifies this on Android apps? It would be useful for creating something like a newsfeed, or message board, etc.
You can use ionic framework.
Refer : http://www.ionicframework.com
Yes, there is Ionic like Monika said or if you want another one less complicated then you can try Mobile Angular Ui http://mobileangularui.com/

while developing an app for two platforms: iOS and Android, I've decided to have a central place of taking care of the localisation of string values. The aim is to have the strings synchronised between the iOS and Android apps, and not to care of modifying them in both projects each time separately... do you have any ideas how to tackle this problem?
The most "non-pain" way to setup will be - name all strings the same, and then use simple tools like:

I'm creating an Android app which must do some web surfing in the background in order to provide a service to the user.
The site I must connect to has no API, it only provides standard HTTP access, with extensive cookie usage but (luckily for me) not much Javascript code.
I wonder if there is a library which behaves like python mechanize for Android, or if it's possible to use mechanize itself in the Android app.
I'm not 100% sure it'll work in Android, but being Java-based, HtmlUnit is probably worth a look.
Mechanize has been ported to Java, and does run in Android:

Are there any ready-made mobile HTML5/CSS3 templates available on the net (for webapps). I don't want to have a native look nor want a native look with webapps. But I want kewl eye-catching designs with a lot of colors. As I'm a developer I'm a super noob at designing. Let me know if you guys use any resources.
P.S.To be specific I needed it for holding two countdowns (placeholders) & 2 images.
I usually look at DeviantArt for UI ideas,
http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&q=iphone+app+template
From there you could find one you like and code it.
Also look at this link for a backbone template,

A simple google search would have led you here...
