I'm using Android Studio 3.3.2. When I try to update the version of Android Studio, it shows an error. It also mentions that there is no solution to the same error.
Go to your android studio installation folder then search for this file. After this
copy the file to a safe place then remove it from android studio folder, so try to update android studio again. If something goes wrong, the fastest way to solve this problem is by remove your old android studio version then download and install the new Android Studio version from here.
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? In Windows, when I right-click on the root of my project, I go to New -> Module. This is what I am shown
It used to be a lot more simpler and actually auto-generate a proper Android Module, complete with directories.
I have the latest version of Android Studio installed. Here is the version I have.
I was expecting to see something along the lines of the following:
Problem cannot be reproduced in the latest Android Studio 2.2.1 Canary that was announced today at Google I/O.
I have an app running on android 2.1 and I would like to update it to android 3.2 as I do not have anyone using that version. How do I go about doing that? I changed the min sdk in manifest but I was wondering about the JAR file. Do I download the jar for that version. Do I keep the old jar.
Thanks
Prerna
It doesn't matter what the Android version is of the jar file. That is only what target the application compiles with. If you want to change that, click on your project, File -> Properties -> Android and check the desired project build target (i.e. 3.2) and Apply.
Is it possible to use IntelliJ 12 (12.1.6 Ultimate) and Gradle to build Android projects? I can't find any information on doing so outside of Android Studio.
I can get my APK to build just fine, but IntelliJ doesn't seem to pick up the dependencies downloaded by Gradle. I know they're downloaded as I can see them in my cache folder.
Switching from the android plugin to the java plugin works just fine.
I don't think it's possible, as Android Studio is based on IntelliJ 13 (EAP).
I am using new android studio .when i download and install it there was no issue. But now when i try to create a new project it's show this error
Your Android SDK is out of date or is missing templates.
Please ensure you are using SDK version 22 or later.
As you know the latest SDK version is already bundled with android studio .I tried re-installing android studio still that error exist.
But it works fine while importing a project or opening an old project. I am facing this only during while trying to create a new project
Somebody help me to resolve this
Note : Im using Mac 10.6.8
EDIT : Screen Shot
I check my SDK manger which is bundled with android studio It's showing i'm using latest version
I've occurred this problem, what I did is.
On Main Menu, Click, Configure
Click Project Defaults
Click Project Structure
In Platform Settings > SDK, Choose the Build Target. Restart the IDE.
I can't comment (Low reputation) but have you tried checking the android sdk manager? See if anything is outdated or missing in tools
Then follow the answer above me, or check module settings > Dependencies > Module SDK and verify that it's android 4.2.2
