How to put AppBarLayout with collapseMode overlay content layout?

I have put AppBarLayout with app:layout_collapseMode="pin" overlay by content FrameLayout. But when I'm scrolling in fragment AppBarLayout doesn't collapse.
How to make AppBarLayout collapsable and overling of the FrameLayout?

Android: CardView Coming On Action Bar

I have used recycler View to display CardView. I have done this in the navigation drawer Main Activity. But my card View is being displayed on Action Bar.

Coordinate layout Overlapping container

I am using this layout to load the fragments in side it but when i run that on device it gives look like this.

Place Layout under the AppBar (like in Messenger)

I am trying to place a (Relative?Linear?Frame?)Layout under the AppBar and the above the ViewPager, like in the Facebook Messenger App.
Like "TOUS, MESSENGER, SMS" in the picture below :

Make the AppBarLayout Collapse

How do I make the Toolbar do disappear when scrolling down? Currently it just disappear a bit. Should I use exitUntilCollapsed somewhat for make it work as I want? Or whats the different with CollapsingToolbarLayout?

I want the Toolbar where CarLog is to be static but not the underlying.

I think you should use CoordinatorLayout to achieve that effect. Here is a working example
