i'm running my android application in my device ...
I need to access localhost server from my phone , to do that i typed my pc ip address in my phone browser and for sure i turned the server on , but it didn' work with
Can someone help me throw this
First thing do you use port number with your localhost if yes, then use the same port number with IP address too
e.g localhost:8080 then 172.167.172.23:8080

i took the ip from ipconfig in command prompt and i input it in the browser of my mobile.
the wamp is on.
the lap and the mobile are connected to the same rooter.
on the emulator it works normally but all the other mobile devices it doesn't.

I am using enterprisedb apache server and I want to connect my android device to this local server installed on my laptop. I am certain that I'll need to change something in httpd.conf file but I'm not able to get the exact solution.

In <Directory />if I change Deny from all to Allow from all I get Not found. The requested URL / was not found on this serverwhen accessing from my device (testing in the browser the ip: 192.168.0.103 which is my localhost wifi ip). But if is set Deny from all then I get Forbidden. I don't know how to fix this.

Ok, after a lot of hours of debugging, finally I've fixed it. The problem was my httpd-vhosts.conf file:

I had this dummy host pre-installed. If you read the comments The first VirtualHost seection is usedfor all requests that do not match a ServerName or ServerAlias.... So I've removed it, and now my first virtual host is my own directory (it must be the first one, after it you can put other virtual hosts directives).
I would like to create a button my website, that when clicked from a smartphone, it would allow the user to import my contact information.
It appears you can do this with vcard, but that would required the smartphone users to install additional software to make it work.
Is there something similar to the "tel:" href-tag that can trigger the data to be imported into the contacts for the phone?
Take a look at this, it uses a VCalendar-approach to acheve the contact-storing from a web-page.

The latest android sources(android 4.0.1) come with Iptables 1.4.11.
In order to enable iptables and Netfilter, how should the 2.6..35 kernel look like?
I googled some sites and got the following config. Do I need to do some changes?
Is XTABLES even needed? I need to use iptable nat rules the rest is not a priority.
