Android: How to display .mht file? - android

I'm trying to display .mht file in Android, so I used webview like this:
byte[] bytes = tblK.getmhtmlFile();
String s = new String(bytes);
webview.loadData(s,"text/html;charset=utf-8","UTF-8");
and, it shows like this:
How to avoid those unwanted content from webview ?
Please help me, thanks in advance.

Webview is not a perfect one, It does not support mht files directly. I suggest you to try the below options for displaying mht files.
1.Android Custom Tabs
2.Chormium Webview Library

How can I embed the new GIFV format on my android app?

I would like to know if one of your could embed GIFV format into your app. I am trying to embed it using a webview but without success.
Actually GIFV format is closer to a video format than a gif.
Whatever suggestion would be nice. Thanks in advance.
After work around of this issue, I couldn't find a solution which could display GIFV format like a video.
But, my solution to this issue has been to use a webview using the same way that i was using to make able to load "gif" files and if you remove directly the "v" from the name of the file, you can show it as a .gif file.
Resuming, remove the "v" from the .gifv file name and display it as a .gif.
The way that i am injecting code to make able to display gifs into the webview is:
public void getContentWebView(String url, WebView webView)
{
String html = "<!DOCTYPE html><html><body><img src=\""+ url +"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\"></body></html>";
webView.loadData(html, "text/html", "utf-8");
}

In AS3 how to load image from rss feed file into text box in AIR for Android

I can load images from feed file into text box in normal flash as3 application,
but When I load same file into Air for Android it does't work.
here is the code please read and help me.
"This is Air application for Android in flash as3"
var txt:TextField = new TextField();
addChild(txt);
txt.htmlText="image url"
from the above code image is not loading.
but the same code works in normal flash as3.
have you tried to use StageWebView for displaying html content (like an image in your example)?
also if the html text didn't worked have you considered using Loader class
var img:Loader = new Loader();
img.load(new URLRequest("image url"));
addChild(img);
also the sample above doesn't include vital parts like IOError handling and other elements but this you can find on your own:)
best regards

Load image from sdcard into html

Hi I have implemented an android web server and I am serving html pages on the fly, based on the uri requested.
When I try to include images from my sdcard they are not showing up on the html page. I have the requisite permissions in the manifest. I have tried looking around but, most of the examples involve images within webview. I am using the following code to get path to the .png files on the sdcard.
String file_icon=Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory().getAbsolutePath()+"/file_icon.png";
String folder_icon=Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory().getAbsolutePath()+"/folder_icon.png";
and I am writing to the outputstream using the following
writer.write("<tr><td><input type=\"checkbox\" name=\""+files.toString()+"\" value=\"file\"/></td><td><img src=\""+file_icon+"\"/>"+files.toString()+"</tr>");
writer.write("<tr><td><input type=\"checkbox\" name=\""+files.toString()+"\" value=\"file\"/></td><td><img src=\""+folder_icon+"\"/>"+files.toString()+"</tr>");
When I fire up the emulator and visit the page I see no images.

Any ideas or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
After looking around I found out that I needed to implement a ContentProvider and override the openFile() method.

Android Display .Doc File in WebView?

In my app,I have link http://mymobilece.com/api/api_getexammaterials.php?id=28,
I want to view in webview ,I try with google document viewer its work fine But i need it without google document viewer,How to show it??
you can use the js for google Doc viever
myScript="<html><iframe src='http://docs.google.com/gview?
url='http://mymobilece.com/api/api_getexammaterials.php?
id=28'&embedded='true' style='width:600px; height:500px;'
frameborder='0'></iframe></html>"
mWebView = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.webview);
mWebView.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true);
mWebView.loadData(myscript,"text/html", "UTF-8");
you can use myscript as string variable and use this javascript code(please make sure to remove double quite if above code) and load in webview
You can change the url - width- height variables according to your scripting.
Docs.google.com has a document parser , which basically parses MS-Office files , thats why you can view it on google docs. without that you will have to write document parser. Which will parse files and fetch the contents to display on view. In Short it will be not a good idea to do that. :)

Android EPUBLIB read/load content

I'm playing with http://www.siegmann.nl/epublib on Android. Can someone please explain the right way to
read epub HTML content,
how to show this on Android (using WebView?),
how to split content into pages and
how to search the content.
Thx 10x.
Answers #2:
Extract epub on file system /mnt/sdcard/epub/
Loading values in webview
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
setContentView(R.layout.epub_reader);
webView = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.webview);
Book book = (new EpubReader()).readEpub(new FileInputStream(filename);
String baseUrl="file://mnt/sdcard/epub/OEBPS/"
String data = new String(book.getContents().get(2).getData());
webView.loadDataWithBaseURL(baseUrl, data, "text/html", "UTF-8", null);
}
Regarding your questions:
How to read epub HTML content
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you want all the content? Or something specific?
All the content can be retrieved using Book.getContent().
how to show this on Android (using WebView?),
I would use WebView for this. Haven't tried that myself though.
how to split content into pages
This I don't know what would work best.
how to search the content.
The nl.siegmann.epublib.search package in epublib-tools has code for a simple search functionality.
