How to hide the browser when downloading files from online - android

I am trying to download a file from an online source of mine. The issue I am having is that the browser window keeps appearing as it load into the download server. Is there some way that I may be able to hide this? I already have this code below in the doInBackground portion of an AsyncTask, but cant seem to get it to hide the browser bar. Here is my code at this point:

Unsuccessful attempt to create a folder and save mp3 file in android

I have an online music player in which I dedicated a button in order to download the file. There's a "progressDialog" which works fine and shows progress of downloading file and it seems that it's really downloading my file. But after completion there's no folder nor file on my device.
I also added Write External Storage permission in my manifest.

Can't download any file with AsyncTask on mobile network

I have an AsyncTask method for downloading a JSON file. After downloading, on postExecute I populate my listview.
My problem is this method will not work when I'm connected to mobile network. I've tried it with different phones, or it will be stuck in ProgressDialog spinner, or it will show nothing after dismissing ProgressDialog on postExecute.
But when the phone is connected to the wifi network it's fine and I'll get my result.

Remove that all. Why close and reopen an output stream?
After you are done with the writing do a flush().

Parsing error on downloaded apk for autoupdate

I want to implement autoupdate for my app.
I used the DownloadManager (and now an AsyncTask for download) and install the file.
The download is working fine. On the PostExecute I fire an intent to install the new apk. Everytime i got a parsing error.
When I open the file in ES File Explorer, I am able to install it successfully, but not within the app and the intent.
I even changed from /Android/data/packagename/files to /Download but still not working.
PS: i know the code is dirty, but working, and I changed so often so many thinks to get it work, but it doesnt...

how to get soundcloud audio download url by using audio file id

am using sound cloud search api. when i hit the search url it give me search results. every audio has stream url but not download url because it depends on setting of the uploader. Every none downloadable file also has download count more than 1. for example, when you'll hit this url

this is for only one audio and that audio is not downloadable but it has download count of 100. how is this possible ?
can anybody tell me how i can download that audio which is not downloadable?

I fix it myself, i was using android and the stream url is also a download url. the stream url is also download url for downloading but it won't affect on download count. you can try like that

My problem using the above codes, progressBar will appear but it will disappear without finishing and no download occur. I could't notice any logcat error or any other error from debugging. Can anybody tell what can be happen or how to overcome from this problem?
So my assumption was correct. In my application I used a static method for returning a file path that calls mkdirs() in case that such path doesn't exist.
For your code such method would look so:

Then replace the line with output stream:

Also replace your exception block with catch (Exception e) { Log.e("DownloadFileAsync", e.toString()); "}
