How can I prevent the truncation of a listview by the layout header?

I cannot see the first row of my listview. I am assuming the screen page's header is overlapping with the listview.
My fragment file is follows:

As a hack I am currently adding an extra row of data. Adding the extra row of data is clearly something I wish to avoid.

The issue is your toolbar is taking the height of your first row. To get out of this do something like this:

Android Popup weird behaviour in Scroll View

I have a Popup window Anchored to a Text View
popUpWindow.showAsDropDown(textView, final_placement_width, final_placement_height);
and when ever I scroll down this TextView will move up along with the popup window.
The problem is if i scroll down too much the PopUp Window will not only show ontop of the Content Window, but also will re-position itself to a new Scroll view at the bottom.
How do set the Popup so that it will stay on top of the TextView number 1 and behind the Purple content window no matter how far down i scroll.

Android MaterialSearchView overlap

I'm using MaterialSearchView in my project.
https://github.com/MiguelCatalan/MaterialSearchView.
I'm creating the the Navigation Drawer Activiti that Android Studio provides, the default xml is using CoordinatorLayout to contain AppBarLayout. However, when integrate with the MaterialSearchView library, only one suggestion is given. I found in their sample xml, they are using RelativeLayout. After I change to RelativeLayout, the suggestions display fine. However, the FrameLayout and AppLayout seems overlap each other. After I click the search menu item, and close it, then it look fine. (Check the below pictures)

Can anyone help me figure it out?

I also faced the same problem and the solution is little tricky. To make all the suggestion displayed just place the FrameLayout containing the Toolbar and MaterialSearch view tag as its child tags at the end of the layout file.
i.e. change you layout file to this

Keep toolbar fixed and other view not

In AndroidManifest I have the android:windowSoftInputMode set to adjustResize which doesn't 'squeeze' the content when keyboard is visible and keeps the Toolbar fixed at all times, even when I scroll.
However, I have another view at the bottom, out of the ScrollView, which I want to be fixed as well but at the same time not block any content when keyboard pops up- right now it moves with the keyboard as of the following property layout_gravity="bottom".
I could just toggle the visibility of that layout when keyboard shows/hides but that doesn't seem the most elegant solution. What would you suggest? Any help very much appreciated :)

You should solve the issue by telling the ScrollView to not register as a scroll container by adding android:isScrollContainer="false". Your new ScrollViewshould look like this:

Can't eliminate margins on all side of a toolbar in android

I'm trying to include a toolbar widget into an activity, but, the toolbar has extra spacing on all sides.

Remove Padding from your Linear Layout.
Remove these lines

Check the XML for your Activity and remove the padding attributes. The Activity is the holder for your toolbar and thus the padding attributes will apply for to all of it's child elements.
