Need to include Tabs with Nav Drawer - android

I need to include a TabLayout in order to provide tabs to the app. I cant figure out how to include it. I tried to add an AppBarLayout (which would contain TabLayout) but it leads to app crash. So its obviously not a solution. How do I edit it to make it have a TabLayout too?

Drawer and Toolbar not showing when I add a fragment

When I add the fragment into the content_frame - I can't see the drawer (swiping doesn't help) and toolbar.
When I DON'T add the fragment I can see them. What is wrong with my implementation?

I'm using data binding (maybe it matters...) so obviously the first thing on the layout files is the tag and it's children and then the actual layouts/views.

You Need to use CoordinatorLayout for app bar scrolling to work. Try using this layout

I want viewpager to be below tablayout. i have used android:layout_below="#+id/appBarLayout" but still some content of viewpager getting hide by toolbar and tab layout.

You can use RelativeLayout. Just make the highlighted line align_top with TabLayout. Just use layout_align_top in RelativeLayout.

android navigation view - clipped drawer

I follow the google drawer spec
And I use the default style "NavigationView" class in android-support-design library, the drawer will be the "full-height" style:
But actually I need the "clipped" drawer:
How to make the clipped drawer?

Navigation Drawer covers my toolbar

I am using this example of material design navigation drawer,the issue is,when i open my drawer,it covers my action bar too..and my drawer icon is not visible..this is the what i am getting..and following is my code..

I would suggest to use a linear layout with vertical orientation as parent and then the first child is your toolbar and the second your drawer layout.

Whatever you have in android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout will be covered by Navigation drawer. See that you have your toolbar in android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout, so it is below navigation drawer. All you have to do is keep it out of android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout. These are all views, so design your layout in such a way that your toolbar is above android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout and its subviews.
However I should state that after Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to material guidelines, the navigation drawer is supposed to go over toolbar. But it is in no way necessary for you to do.
