Android WebView Links Does not Open

How can I click on a link that is provided in the WebView data that I load?
The WebView data that is load is in HTML format as:

The WebView is placed inside a scroll view and its webClient is as:

PopUp screen not opening In webview?

I am Currently working with webview in which Javascript popup is created when some button is clicked in webview. But it is not opening in my Webview.

You have to use WebChromeClient for your purpose:
One should use a WebChromeClient to get these alerts and the
functionality can be overwritten using theonJsAlert() method. Hope

This can also happen if you are executing ES6 on unsupported browsers.

Restricting WebView to one page only

Is it possible to restrict WebViews so that when you have let's say one webview for website but you just want the view to stick to that page and only that page?
Great example is I have a twitter WebView that is following a tag. I just want the user to be able to follow that tag not be able to go deeper into twitter stuff.
It's already a pre-set link,
Button--> opens web view with set link to twitter.
So has to be some kind of check for on press or something like I think.

something like this should do it.

Facebook login button on Android Webview redirects to a blank page

I'm trying to use a facebook login button that uses JS Facebook SDK on Android Webview. When I click it open a new page and redirects to https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth... which is a blank page with a javascript code. And the webview stays here.
I'm using:
webview.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true);
webview.getSettings().setAppCacheEnabled(true);
webview.getSettings().setJavaScriptCanOpenWindowsAutomatically(true);

You need to add logic to redirect back to the original url of your website.
In order to do this, you need to first create a new java class that extends the WebViewClient class and overrides the onPageFinished method like this:

Second, just add it to your WebView:
webview.setWebViewClient(new CustomWebViewClient());
Once that page is finished loading, it will redirect back to your original page

I dont know what exactly i did at that time, but the problem was solved. I'll give you the code. Try finding out :)

OK so from what I can tell, what's happening here is that there are two "ways" for oauth to work, either it will call back "to aparent page" (like popup "log me in" that disappears), or it can redirect you to a login page, then to some other url (non popup style), after success or failure (kind of a chain forward). Unfortunately it appears WebView is not well suited for the "callback to the parent page" style, so you have to do some shenanigans like have a second WebView (jincy's answer here, or see also this).

Avoid webview redirect

I have a WebView in my project and its loaded with some initial content. Now when the user clicks on the hyperlink on the WebView it should not reload the WebView, instead it should display the initial content. I tried the below code but it is not working.
