How can I use startService() method from a java class - android

What I am trying to do is that as any incoming call is received I want to start a service ChatHeadService which shows a chat head.
Basically I want to run this command, but as I run the app my app stops at this command.
startService(new Intent(getApplication(), ChatHeadService.class));

wifi p2p file transfer android connected device but not transfering

Hello iam stuck in problem since yesterday searched everything anywhere i create application which show device which arre connected to same router wifi , then iam able to connect both device using this exmple

how to record android click event background

I want to record the android click event when I use other apps. For each click, I record its timestamp. So, this app should run background. I use the "getevent" to catch the click event. I am not very familiar with Android operation. My code

Transfer Data between Android devices using wifi direct?

I have recently implement wifi direct into my project,my aim is pass string value between two wifidirect connected devices when some of my app condition satisfies.right now i have listed all peers and also made connection between the selected peer.what my idea is to pass a json file between the devices.so before try to execute that idea i try to pass a image file between two devices.i followed the steps from the android wifidirect tutorial.listing peers and the connection between the peers is success full but i cant pass the data between the devices.the follwing is my code.

The android code from the demo wifi direct project is able to pass file is unidirectional. ie. you can send file from client to server only. You need furthur modifications to make it work in both direction.
EDIT 2:
For that you need to know the IP address of both connected peers. Use the following function which I made following various sources with my modifications wherever appropriate.

I think the way you initialize client makes the problem.
You need to call this
new FileServerAsyncTask(getApplicationContext()).execute();
after the connection is established and check if it's a client.
Now you are creating a client socket only if it is a server(group owner) and always when you call to get a MAC address.
So on the client side you are not intializing the socket and so not able to receive the file.
Once check the WifiDirect sample demo provided in the SDK, you may get more idea.

android:video is not playing

I am trying to run video which is stored in assets/pages/id(id may be rice or sugar or meat ect)/id.mp4 . In this app if i touch on a video of any item (rice or sugar or meat) it will play respective mp4 video. But video is not playing properly.
Trying to find out but fail.

Everything is ok. The problem is that i run this service in emulator not in real device. When i test in real device it is running properly. But problem in emulator.

onBind() is never called in a service

Why isn't it working?
Probably the most common source of binding silently failing is not having the service listed in the manifest. This does not raise an exception, so your app does not crash, but there should be a message (warning, IIRC) in LogCat pointing out your issue.
