A ListView overlaps a SearchView in a CoordinatorLayout

I'm fixing an app after the AndroidX migration, and I had a very odd bug that my ListView was not being loaded on the onCreate/onStart/onResume events:
A ListView is not displaying any data on OnCreate/OnStart after AndroidX migration
By matter of chance, I decided to "simplify" my layout and removed a LinearLayout that contained the ListView. After this change, the data was loaded properly because it seems LinearLayout was somehow blocking the getView event. However, after this change, the SearchView is being overlapped by the ListView, and I don't know how to put them in the right order (first the SearchView followed by the ListView).

Regarding, the search_container I tested also using the AppBarLayout and crashed the app; therefore, it's not a solution.
Any idea how can I fix it? And why is this happening? If you know how to fix the previous issue and somehow call the getView event on the onCreate/onStart/onResume events is another solution.

You need to replace the FrameLayout in the search_container.xml with AppBarLayout as the AppBarLayout should wrap the Toolbar when you're using the Toolbar within the CoordinatorLayout

In my case, I needed to wrap my FrameLayout with a AppBarLayout make it work properly, when I didn´t do it, it duplicates the toolbar creating an strange shadow. This is the final change:

How to remove scrolling behavior for child AppBarLayout/TabLayout only?

Is it possible I can disable the Scrolling View Behavior for the #+id/tabs_app_bar_layout only? Basically I have two AppBarLayouts, one for the Toolbar and one for bottom navigation tabs. I want the scrolling view behavior to only affect the Toolbar.
What is the best way I can disable the scrolling behavior for only certain child views?

The issue I am currently running into is that The included layout sits on top of my main layout filling the entire screen. I cannot see the Toolbar because it is being covered. I want the included layout to fill only the area below the toolbar. I've tried placing app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" in both layouts and in the include with no avail. Anyone know what's going on?

This activity should be shown within this one and with out the app title:

Change the root of your included layout to android:layout_height="wrap_content"
Currently, it is match_parent so it will take the height of the parent filling the entire screen.
You will also want to add to your <include>, android:layout_below="#id/toolbar" to place it below the toolbar. By default, RelativeLayout places Views in the top-left so adding this property will tell it to start your included layout below the toolbar.
Note the last two lines in the below code.

android navigation drawer material design webview no scrolling vertically

I am new to android , in my application am using navigation drawer activity (Materail Design) and have a webview in a Fragment . The Navigation loads webview without any problem . But i cannot scroll the webview vertically , i can do horizontally .I can see the vertial scroll bar on horzontal scroll , but not functional.

I tried different solution , such as NestedWebView and tried to put the webview tag inside NestedScrollview ,but no luck.

You are accidentally wrapping your FrameLayout in your AppBarLayout, move your FrameLayout underneath the AppBarLayout.
So what is happening is the AppBarLayout is taking your scroll event instead of the WebView.

Fragment from View Pager hiding behind Tab Bar

I am having an issue with a Tab bar and ViewPager in my android project. What the app does it has an activity which hosts a tab layout and then has 2 fragment which represents each of the tabs.
When the activity is opened it posts to an API to get some data and puts the data into a data adapter for a Recycler View and Card layout in each of the fragments.
The recycler view will contain 3 items but only 2 are being shown as the first is being hidden under the toolbar and/or the tab bar as shown in the screenshot below.

Below is the screenshot as mentioned above which shows the problem. I've pixelated some of the text but it should you what I mean, there should be 3 items but the first item is hiding underneath the tab bar.

Edit: As suggested below by #smeet and #hardik, adding the scroll behavior app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" should fix the problem while preserving the scroll behavior. Scroll behaviors only work if the view is a direct child of the coordinator layout.

From the docs, CoordinatorLayout is a super-powered FrameLayout. So you can expect the typical "lay views on top of other views" FrameLayout behavior.

Adding :
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
in ViewPager resolved issue in my case.

if we will wrap app bar layout with linear layout than toolbar will not hide when you scroll so accepted answer might not help you if you want to hide toolbar when you scroll.
