Xamarin Android - Set toolbar background as an image, not working as expected

I want to set an image to be the background for my toolbar, with the image scaled to fit. For some reason the image just renders below the toolbar. and I am not sure why. Any help would be greatly appreciate. I have tried many of the ways people have suggested online and non of them yield the result I am looking for.
Also: Setting the background programmatically has the same result.
Here is my view code with the background set to the image
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:id="#+id/main_nav_drawer_layout"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/main_nav_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:minHeight="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="#drawable/header_bg"
android:theme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Dark.ActionBar"
app:popupTheme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Light" />
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/app_fragment_container"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
</LinearLayout>
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:id="#+id/main_nav_view"
android:background="#D3D2D2"
app:itemBackground="#drawable/style_menu_bg_color"
app:menu="#menu/main_menu"
app:headerLayout="#layout/main_menu_header"
app:itemTextColor="#drawable/style_menu_text_color"
app:itemIconTint="#drawable/style_menu_text_color" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
I have also tried it this way with an ImageView in the ToolBar
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:id="#+id/main_nav_drawer_layout"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/main_nav_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:minHeight="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="?attr/colorPrimary"
android:theme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Dark.ActionBar"
app:popupTheme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Light">
<ImageView
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_gravity="center"
android:src="#drawable/header_bg"/>
</android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar>
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/app_fragment_container"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
</LinearLayout>
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:id="#+id/main_nav_view"
android:background="#D3D2D2"
app:itemBackground="#drawable/style_menu_bg_color"
app:menu="#menu/main_menu"
app:headerLayout="#layout/main_menu_header"
app:itemTextColor="#drawable/style_menu_text_color"
app:itemIconTint="#drawable/style_menu_text_color" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
I was able to figure it out and getting working for my scenario. I added a relative layout, with an image view above the toolbar (in code, not actual screen position), then made the toolbar's background transparent and scaled accordingly.

How to place navigation drawers header below statusbar?

I want my header of my Navigation drawer to be below the statusbar. When searching for solutions, every result is about how to place it under the status bar. I have of course tried to "reverse" theese solutions to place the header below. But it hasn't worked and I'm testing it on a Samsung Galaxy S7 API 23
Right now it looks like this:
This is my layout containing DrawerLayout, NavigationView:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"

android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#00ffff"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
tools:openDrawer="start">
<include
android:id="#+id/toolbar_drawer_layout"
layout="#layout/navdrawer_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/nav_view"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:background="#color/arion_darkgray"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/navdrawer_header"
app:itemBackground="#drawable/nav_drawer_selector"
app:itemIconTint="#fff"
app:itemTextColor="#fff"
app:menu="#menu/navdrawer_menu"
app:theme="#style/custom_navDrawer_style" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
Toolbar layout:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"

Much of this is auto generated by Android Studio after I created my NavigationDrawer Class from the wizard
You have not put your xml fully so I don't know whats wrong with your xml but if you want your navigation drawer below action bar then put your drawerlayout below your toolbar as follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical">
<!--Start of the Toolbar and its items -->
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:gravity="center" />
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"></LinearLayout>
<!--Used for displaying Navigation Drawer slide-->
<LinearLayout
android:id="#+id/navigation_drawer"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:orientation="vertical">
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/navigation_container"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
</LinearLayout>
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
</LinearLayout>
According to your edited question drawerlayout xml would be like
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical">
<include
android:id="#+id/toolbar_drawer_layout"
layout="#layout/navdrawer_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#00ffff"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
tools:openDrawer="start">
<include
android:id="#+id/activity"
layout="#layout/myhorse_activity_" />
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/nav_view"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:background="#color/arion_darkgray"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/navdrawer_header"
app:itemBackground="#drawable/nav_drawer_selector"
app:itemIconTint="#fff"
app:itemTextColor="#fff"
app:menu="#menu/navdrawer_menu"
app:theme="#style/custom_navDrawer_style" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
</LinearLayout>
and toolbar layout will be like
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"

android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
tools:context=".MyHorseActivity">
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/myhorse_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"

I used the xml file below to achieve what you asked. But this way, the drawer opens below both the "status bar" and the "toolbar"
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"

Set Navigation Bar below Toolbar in Marshmallow 6.0

I have tried many answers on stackoverflow but couldn't solved the navigation drawer problem for marshmallow devices.
This is the screenshot here.
On pre marshmallow devices, the issue is solved using this line.

this works but when you run it on api below < 20 it keeps some space and that is my problem how to solve this problem

Try adding
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
to your NavigationView too.

Toolbar disappears when using Vuforia versions below 4.4

I am using the SDK Vuforia and testing on devices with version 4.4 below the toolbar disappears, the menu buttons are there but invisible where would be the correct buttons are visible.
The drawerlayout button with recyclerview I use the side menu does not work in version below 4.4, and its icon disappears. With much effort can swipe to activate the side menu. Above this version of the menu functions and buttons are displayed.
The following images and correct the problem and xml layouts.

I made a call on Vuforia forum to see if someone there could help me ... Inclusive has a test project to facilitate the location of the problem.
As this link, the solution was found. The problem was organize the objects on the screen. With this following code could play the elements that disappeared in front of the preview camera.

Unable to display Floating Button in exclusively one tab - Using SlidingTabLayout and android.support.design

I'm new to android app development and implemented a SlidingTabLayout. I want to display a floating button in one of the tab but unable to do so. I've tried including my button in my tab fragment as well as my main activity. In mainactivity, when I switch tabs, the buttons is still included in the second tab. I tried floatingbutton.show() and hide in my tab change listener but of no use. Any help will be appreciated.My activity_main.xml
