Chose file button in File upload control of webview doesn't work

I have a file upload control on a web page and displaying it in webview. But Chose file doesn't work. It has no effect. I am using following code for this:
webView = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.wbvw);
webView.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true);
webView.loadUrl(url);
webView.setWebChromeClient(new WebChromeClient()
{
//The undocumented magic method override
//Eclipse will swear at you if you try to put #Override here
// For Android 3.0+
public void openFileChooser(ValueCallback<Uri> uploadMsg) {
mUploadMessage = uploadMsg;
Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT);
i.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE);
i.setType("image/*");
WebviewActivity.this.startActivityForResult(Intent.createChooser(i,"File Chooser"), FILECHOOSER_RESULTCODE);
}
// For Android 3.0+
public void openFileChooser( ValueCallback uploadMsg, String acceptType ) {
mUploadMessage = uploadMsg;
Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT);
i.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE);
i.setType("*/*");
WebviewActivity.this.startActivityForResult(
Intent.createChooser(i, "File Browser"),
FILECHOOSER_RESULTCODE);
}
//For Android 4.1
public void openFileChooser(ValueCallback<Uri> uploadMsg, String acceptType, String capture){
mUploadMessage = uploadMsg;
Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT);
i.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE);
i.setType("image/*");
WebviewActivity.this.startActivityForResult( Intent.createChooser( i, "File Chooser" ), WebviewActivity.FILECHOOSER_RESULTCODE );
}
});
I tried to run the code with debugger but the methods inside webView.setWebChromeClient don't work.

WebView kotlin upload file camera and storage

I have a webview that works with uploading files from the SD, but I haven't been able to get the upload to ask me if it's by camera or SD.
Look for examples of java the only simple and functional one but I didn't manage to migrate it to kotlin
example webview upload file
//For Android5.0+
public boolean onShowFileChooser(
WebView webView, ValueCallback<Uri[]> filePathCallback,
FileChooserParams fileChooserParams) {
if (mFilePathCallback != null) {
mFilePathCallback.onReceiveValue(null);
}
mFilePathCallback = filePathCallback;
Intent takePictureIntent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
if (takePictureIntent.resolveActivity(getActivity().getPackageManager()) != null) {
// Create the File where the photo should go
File photoFile = null;
try {
photoFile = createImageFile();
takePictureIntent.putExtra("PhotoPath", mCameraPhotoPath);
} catch (IOException ex) {
// Error occurred while creating the File
Log.e(TAG, "Unable to create Image File", ex);
}
// Continue only if the File was successfully created
if (photoFile != null) {
mCameraPhotoPath = "file:" + photoFile.getAbsolutePath();
takePictureIntent.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT,
Uri.fromFile(photoFile));
} else {
takePictureIntent = null;
}
}
Intent contentSelectionIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT);
contentSelectionIntent.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE);
contentSelectionIntent.setType("image/*");
Intent[] intentArray;
if (takePictureIntent != null) {
intentArray = new Intent[]{takePictureIntent};
} else {
intentArray = new Intent[0];
}
Intent chooserIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_CHOOSER);
chooserIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_INTENT, contentSelectionIntent);
chooserIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_TITLE, "Image Chooser");
chooserIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_INITIAL_INTENTS, intentArray);
startActivityForResult(chooserIntent, REQUEST_CODE_LOLIPOP);
return true;
}
});
I have an error in getActivity(), tryArray = new Intent[0];, which I can't resolve.

Did you add permission in your AppManifest like this?
<uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.camera"/>
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CAMERA"/>
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"/>
You didn't mention it but you will need that added.

Android WebView with two MustBe functions and integration, app development

I am doing Android WebView app with Studio. I have two functions(See COde 1, COde2) But I could not get two different functions to get working both at the same app(together, in the code). How can I Integrate these two codes so that they both work?
My first days of using the Android Studio to make an application, so any help would be really great.
COde 1 to attach/upload images/files, browser event(HTML:input type=file):

Android : 5.0 : WebChromeClient.FileChooserParams cannot be resolved to a type

I am trying to make my webview compatible with android 5.0 for the upload file purposes.My build target is API19 4.4.2 . I have download 5.0 sdk and it dependencies. I am getting an error WebChromeClient.FileChooserParams cannot be resolved to a type
I found this code on Stackoverflow.
webView = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.webView1);
webView.setWebChromeClient(new WebChromeClient() {
public boolean onShowFileChooser(
WebView webView, ValueCallback<Uri[]> filePathCallback,
WebChromeClient.FileChooserParams fileChooserParams) {
// Double check that we don't have any existing callbacks
if(mFilePathCallback != null) {
mFilePathCallback.onReceiveValue(null);
}
mFilePathCallback = filePathCallback;
// Set up the take picture intent
Intent takePictureIntent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
if (takePictureIntent.resolveActivity(MainActivity.this.getPackageManager()) != null) {
// Create the File where the photo should go
File photoFile = null;
try {
photoFile = createImageFile();
takePictureIntent.putExtra("PhotoPath", mCameraPhotoPath);
} catch (IOException ex) {
// Error occurred while creating the File
Log.e(TAG, "Unable to create Image File", ex);
}
// Continue only if the File was successfully created
if (photoFile != null) {
mCameraPhotoPath = "file:" + photoFile.getAbsolutePath();
takePictureIntent.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT,
Uri.fromFile(photoFile));
} else {
takePictureIntent = null;
}
}
// Set up the intent to get an existing image
Intent contentSelectionIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT);
contentSelectionIntent.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE);
contentSelectionIntent.setType("image/*");
// Set up the intents for the Intent chooser
Intent[] intentArray;
if(takePictureIntent != null) {
intentArray = new Intent[]{takePictureIntent};
} else {
intentArray = new Intent[0];
}
Intent chooserIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_CHOOSER);
chooserIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_INTENT, contentSelectionIntent);
chooserIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_TITLE, "Image Chooser");
chooserIntent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_INITIAL_INTENTS, intentArray);
startActivityForResult(chooserIntent, INPUT_FILE_REQUEST_CODE);
return true;
}
});
Issue
WebChromeClient.FileChooserParams is new to API Level 21, as is the onShowFileChooser() method.
So, you need to set your compileSdkVersion (a.k.a., "build target" in Eclipse) to 21, otherwise those symbols will not be recognized.
