I am trying to use Parse on my Windows PC with Android Studio.
I followed some tutorials to install MongoDB, Parse server and Parse dashboard, and all went smooth.
When I open Android Studio, the Parse server initializes, but it doesn't save the data and I don't what went wrong

When you run the code in your app, localhost means "this device" AKA your Android device, not the server.
You need to use the IP address of the server there (which will depend if you are using an emulator or a physical device).

You may follow this documentation for Sending and Receiving Messages. You send messages using the MessageApi and attach the following items to the message:
An arbitrary payload (optional)

I've configured Push notifications in Android for an app following all the instructions in:

But no matter what I do, the mobile phone I'm using can't seem to get any push notifications at all.
The same app is configured to receive the notifications on iOS and works perfectly.

In the google developer console, the project number is 123456789012, I've created an API key and added the API key + the project number in the Back4App dashboard's Android Push Notification Settings.

Solved it!
The thing is that, instead of getting the Api key the way all the guides say, you should get it from https://developers.google.com/mobile/add.
It generated another API key and activated the service, and then, it worked.
I am working on Parse notifications..to send notifications to all users...The below code works well on emulator but the real device cannot get notifications....

As you may be creating your own sample app, pay close attention to the Manifest configuration, ensure you have right package names.
As noted in the Parse docs, they use GCM when Play-Services is available, which actual Android device will have. Where as they use persistent connection on devices without play-service ie. your emulator. Hope this helps.
I'm trying to register my android app with GCM, I followed the instructions in this link in order to obtain an api key, I did what is written in numbers 1-7 but in step 8 I can't find

You don't need an API Key in order to register to GCM. You only need a Sender ID (which is the Project ID of the Google API Project you created for your app). The API Key is only needed in the server side for sending GCM messages to your app.
The reason for getting service not available can be many things. You'll have to post your manifest and client registration code to get more help.

I am having problems in connecting to a web service I have created.
When I try to call the webservice from my Android Code it doesn't work but when I manually write the request with variables passed in the address bar it works.
Please have a look at the code. I think the problem is with the function that I am calling on pageload, it doesn't work when I call it through Android.
