I had Android Studio installed on my system. I downloaded the new Android Studio version 2.2. Instead of uninstalling the old Android Studio i inadvertently removed the complete folder itself and cleaned up the system.
Now when i am trying to install the newer version it says that the Android Studio is already running.
I do not have the old folder and that is why i am unable to properly uninstall now.
I tried to find the Android Studio file that might be running in processes to exit it but could not find any such file.
What can i do to install this new version.
Kindly update

I am having some issues with my download of Android Studio. I recently was on a test build Windows 11 and the Virtual Device Manager in Android Studio was not working. I found out that that build I was on was having issues with Android Studio so I reverted back to Windows 10. I had to do a complete reboot so I redownloaded Android Studio. I started getting issues with the SDK not wanting to download. I would select one in the SDK Manager and it would say that the file directory that stored the SDK was missing or corrupt. I have tried to uninstall in Settings but it tells me that uninstall.exe is missing. I downloaded a second version in hopes that it might have the uninstall.exe but it does not. What are my options to first get rid of my corrupt version and also install it correctly?
After I installed Android Studio 4.2 (Stable Version), When I run it the error occurs: Corrupted Installation with detail: Missing Essential Plugin org.jetbrains.android.
I clean manually the existing components of the previous Android. Then I uninstall again the Android Studio 4.2 then reinstalled it again. But, the same error appears.
Any suggestion why I am facing an installation issue in Android 4.2.
I have finish installing the Android studio but it kept asking me for my Android sdk directory.
Try Removing the config from C:\Users\<user>\.AndroidStudio4.0 folder. Start Android Studio, it will open a dialog about which parts of the SDK to download, and then proceeded as expected.
I'm using Android Studio 3.3.2. When I try to update the version of Android Studio, it shows an error. It also mentions that there is no solution to the same error.
Go to your android studio installation folder then search for this file. After this
copy the file to a safe place then remove it from android studio folder, so try to update android studio again. If something goes wrong, the fastest way to solve this problem is by remove your old android studio version then download and install the new Android Studio version from here.
I couldn't install the SDKs and System Images for different Android versions in Android Studio. The package is downloaded but fails to install. With the new update of Android Studio 2.3 (or from previous versions, not sure) Google has made it mandatory to use SDK Manager provided in the IDE, there is no 'Launch Standalone SDK Manager' anymore in the IDE. I have found an old solution to this problem when there used to be a separate 'SDK Manager.exe' file in the folder 'sdk' as shown below:
But I did a fresh installation of Android Studio 2.3 and there is no such file now:
On installing a new package or system image from SDK Manager in Android Studio I am getting following error every time:
Please help me as I am in the middle of development of a project which needs to be completed. Thanks in advance! :)
You can download the failed file (https:dl.google.com/....google_m2repository_gms... .zip) directly (using some download manager if you experience network instability) and then unzip it and copy the content to <android-sdk>/extras/google/m2repository/com/google/android/gms. In fact, you can download any part of android sdk manually and put it in the place it should be.
