Strange behaviour of recyclerview in nestedscrollview

I have a layout like below. Problem is that the recyclerview height only shows one item.

Strange thing is that when I change the attribute
app:srcCompat="#drawable/ic_refresh"
in the ImageButton to something like
app:srcCompat="#android:drawable/ic_menu_search"
the recyclerview height becomes normal most items show. The ImageButton is on a layout above RecyclerView. Why does this happen?

You have to make your inner linear layout as match parent

Solved it simply by adding
android:fillViewport="true"
to the NestedScrollView

Make the layout_height on the Recycler View to match_parent

floating action button is also scrolling along with recyclerview

I have added a floating action button with recyclerview which is also scrolling along with the recyclerview my problem is that I have a bottom navigation in main activity so I'm trying to put my floating action button above bottom navigation which is in the main layout when my fragment is called but instead my fab is shown at the end of recyclerview and it is also scrolling along with the recyclerview how can I make it not scroll when the fragment is called in MainActivity.
Please any help would be appreciated

Use RelativeLayout as Root layout
And Use android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" and
android:layout_alignParentRight="true" to attach your FloatingActionButton at bottom of screen

You Should put floating action button outside of nested scrollview..

Scrollview top and bottom

I'm building and android application using android studio and I'm using scroll view in my layout, but the problem is that the scroll view doesn't start after the action bar and leaves huge white space at the bottom (as you can see in the screenshots below).

As you can see my xml above, i didn't any padding or margin. Yet there's a white space at the bottom and the scroll view starts at the very top of the activity not after the action bar. How to solve this?

Try by putting this inside your ScrollView or FrameLayout containing ScrollView
<ScrollView

app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"

scroll views and RecyclerView at same time

want to scroll RecyclerView and views in scroll view, in this code scroll only work on views but not scroll the RecyclerView or scroll hide the RecyclerView.I am using nested scrollview but same not working.

Use should use NestedScrollView instead of ScrollView
And I would also recommend setting
Recyclerview.setNestedScrollingEnabled(false);

Android SwipeToRefresh - Confilct with RecyclerView when swiping down

So I have a fragment with 2 RecyclerView lists. I want to swipe fragment to refresh those lists but when I scroll one of those lists to see hidden elements SwipeToRefresh refreshes those lists. How to prevent it from that?

Any ideas?

You can consume the swipe down event in RecycleView when it can scroll up.
Just custom the RecycleView and intercept the event when you need.
