Recently i made an app for android through android studio, a very simple app.
But when i started the emulator to test the app i received an unusual error.
This is what the error looks like in a general form :-
WARNING:./android/base/files/IniFile.cpp:155:Failed to process .ini file C:\Users\xxxxxxx.android\avd\Nexus_5_API_23.ini for reading.
My question is,
1) What is the meaning of this error ?
2) And how do i solve this error ?
Have you recently updated the SDK tools. It sounds like it might be some compatibility issue with the tools and the emulator. Try going into the AVD manager and see if there is an update, and/or delete the emulator and re-create and see if that solves the issue.

Whenever I try installing Android studio on my PC, I keep seeing this error message.
I have installed Android studio more than three times now,but I keep seeing this error message please any ways or suggestions . So that I can fix this?
I think the problem is not with your android studio package, but the network you're on while installing Android Studio. Before your start installation, connect to a reliable network also make sure to check your firewall settings while installing. However if you still face issues then refer below the similar asked question with solution.
Here is the question with solution related to your issue
i'm trying to install my app debug from my android studio. it's work well yesterday, but today when i try to install it again, the application cant be installed on my device and showing error like below on my android studio.
Installation did not succeed.
The application could not be installed: SHELL_UNRESPONSIVE
The device timed out while trying to install the application.
Retry
what should i do? i tried install on other device, and it worked fine. My device is Redmi 4X and other device is Samsung J3
Faced the same issue, not sure of the reason but in Android studio, Click on the File -> Invalidate Caches/ Restart and then it starts to work.
I got same issue with my device. i restart my device and its work properly.
The problem is because you don't have the proper SDK for the Android version. I'm telling you because a month has passed for me too. The solution is to download the appropriate pack in the SDK Manager.
If you have doubts how to enter:
Close the project.
In the welcome panel click on settings, then choose the SDK Manager option.
Click show package details and select the version for Android and choose all packages.
Finally you click ok XD
Try this method if it works perfect greetings
If other answers didn't help and previously application was installing correctly on your device, try to check your AndroidManifest file. Check that nothing forbids to install your app because of os version conflict or manifest merging errors or other reasons.
I came across this problem recently, through process of elimination I determined the cause was related to dependencies in the build.gradle(your app name).
I suggest working backwards and comment out everything that was added since the last known working build/install.
In my case I have a legacy app developed back in 2016 being rewritten, dependencies for signalR have changed quite a bit since then, the original libs where causing the install to fail while everything else seemed excellent, not even a single build error was occurring. Commenting out the libs and references got the application to a runnable state.
In my case, I deleted the emulator and recreated it. It solved the issue.
Before this, I had already tried following which did not work for me:
From menu: File->Invalidate cache/restart.
Deleting .cxx, .idea, .gradle, build folders and rebuilding.
Cold boot device emulator
Posting this in case someone is trapped in my kind of situation.
So I have been having a lot of problems with Android Studio, and I have just deleted and reinstalled it. I tried to setup Android Studio with the setup wizard but I am not able to download the components. Any idea on whats wrong? Might be something to do with the file path, not sure though.
And here is where it says that an error occurred.
I had a similar problem, try installing without the Android virtual device checked, This worked for me but it was also on a different computer so it might not have been that but it's worth a crack :) Best of luck
I have an Android application. In the latest version I've moved some code from it into separate Android Library projects (two). One library depends on another and project depends on both libraries. So, as I understand, one library includes into final application "twice" (or something similar to twice).
On the first launch of application I receive following in Console (I am using Eclipse):
Installation error: 0
Please check logcat output for more details.
Launch canceled!
Can anybody help?
Thanks!
EDIT
On the second launch program starts normally.
EDIT
I tried to reproduce error on the emulator and other device, it didn't reproduce! Can a problem be on my device? May be on file not deleted or something else?
I've reinstalled Android on my phone and problem solved :) Not a good solution, but works.
I know Android Studio is currently in beta, but still maybe somebody has a solution to this. Similar to Android studio running app on Samsung Galaxy S3 hangs at Uploading file I have issues when trying to run my app. It doesn't actually matter if its the physical phone or the android emulator.
I've tried with my app and a new empty project: same result. After compilation it tries to upload the app and just gets stuck. I've tried re-installation of Androidstudio and rebooting. Fun fact: on my laptop everything works just fine.
Any more ideas would be appreciated.
So actually it looks like something with the Platform tools was going wrong. A delete and install in the SDK Manager solved my issue. Weird, that the tools coming with the studio bundle are broken on my system.
Go to build and Rebuild your project. It will solve the problem.
