I can't update sdk manager ' packages - android

I installed Xamarin on Visual studio 2013. I Unfortunately get the error: " The installed Android SDK is too old. Version 25.1.3 or newer is required. Please update to the latest version." I updated to latest version but still it isn't the version that is needed for Xamarin!!! The SDK tools is v25.2.4, the Platform-tools is v25.0.2, the build-tools is v25.0.2.
I open sdk manager to update these packages but the link doesn't work!!
Is there any other way to resolve this sticky error??

Google has filtered some countries to access these important installations and updates. Using a VPN is the solution.
Good luck.

How to add google play services libarary?

I need to install google play service library for my android project. I am using ADT version 22.3.0. But, the problem is that 'Google Play Services Library' is not available under 'Extras' in SDK Manager. And when I open ecllipse after updating SDK tools to latest version, eclipse give me error:

And when I check for updates, then it says no updates available. Can one please help me.
I uninstall ADT from eclipse, and after that I lost my eclipse
Restart your eclipse, and updating SDK tools to latest version, then under Extra tab you install google-play library

How do you install and earlier version of Android Tools and Platform Tools?

I am trying to get the android simulator working in Appcelerator's Titanium Studio on Windows 7, but it is not compatible with the latest Tools version (23) due to android issue #66740. However I can't seem to find a way to install Tools version 22.
I used the Google installer from here: http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/installing-adt.html
After installing if I run titanium setup check in the cmd window it says that the tools is unsupported version 23.0.2 and platform tools is unsupported version 20.
According to the Titanium Docs I need Tools version 22 and Platform Tools version 19. I can't figure out a way to get earlier version of either, I can only install earlier versions of the Build-tools and SDK.
Well, you could use direct link, like http://dl.google.com/android/android-sdk_r21.1-windows.zip - here is tools revision 21.1 with platform tools revision 19 (if you will download revision 22, just change the number; it will have r20 platform tools).
You could find more in official documentation of Titanium: http://docs.appcelerator.com/titanium/3.0/#!/guide/Installing_the_Android_SDK)
Or, you could just use tool right in Titanium: Go in dashboard, in "get started" click on "Android SDK->Install or Update Android SDK", as seen in picture [1]. Then unhide settings, select empty folder to installing sdk, and versions of Android [2]. It will install, and it should work.

Go to android sdk manager and download all the versions you want to do
http://developer.android.com/tools/help/sdk-manager.html
Thanks
I had the same problem. Eventually I have found the bug report that referred to it: TIMOB-17221. The bug is marked as fixed in SDK 3.3.0, but that version of SDK has not been released yet, so I was stuck again.
Then from Appcelerator's Wiki I found out that there is a Titanium CI builds page. Download 3.3.0 from there, install and everything should start working again. At least it did for me. Good luck!

Attempt to start android fails - tools need to be updated or installed

I see this on the forum, but unlike the hit on the forum where a version update was required to resolve, I believe my software is up to date.
Under Windows 7, Android SDK Manager shows:
android sdk tools 21.1 Installed
Android sdk platform tools 16.0.2 Installed
SDK path c:\users\owner\documents\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20130219\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20130219\sdk
When I try to begin a project via 'file-new-Android Application Project', the panel reports
---The tools need to be updated via the SDK Manager
---Tools installed out of date or not installed
Any direction on this would be appreciated.
OK. I had viewed this Eclipse ADT and find out the way to get around this issue and able to Update My SDK Tool to 21.1.0.
Solution is : First Update ADT to 21.1.0 and Then Update SDK Tool to 21.1.0
Actually, above link Says,
ADT 21.1.0 is designed for use with SDK Tools r21.1.0. If you haven't already installed SDK Tools r21.1.0 into your SDK, use the Android SDK Manager to do so.
So, What i have to do is to update my ADT to 21.1.0(Latest Version) and then was able to update SDK tool to 21.1.0. i thought only SDK Tool has been updated Not ADT. so i was Updating the SDK Tool with Older ADT Version(21.0.1).
How to Update your ADT to Latest Version?
In Eclipse go to Help
Install New Software ---> Add
inside Add Repository write the Name: ADT (as you want)
and Location: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
after loading some time you will get Developer Tools and NDK Plugins
check both if you want to use NDK in the future or check Developer Tool only
click Next
Finish
Copied

Catch 22, SDK and AVD Manager requires SDK Location, SDK Location requires ADT Update?

So I just attempted some sort of update using the SDK and AVD Manager in eclipse. I think I just clicked update all, and installed an update. After I installed this, I restarted eclipse, but when it started up again, I got an error message saying that I need to update my ADT to the latest version (14.00) and that mine is version 12.00.
But when I try to go to the SDK and AVD manager to update the ADT it says Location of the android SDK has not been set in the preferences
So then when I go to preferences and look at the SDK location it says This Android SDK requires Android Developer Toolkit version 14.0.0 or above. Current version is 12.0.0.v201106281929-138431. Please update ADT to the latest version.
Do I need to somehow manually update the SDK? I am not really sure what happened here. Thanks in advance for any help.
I recently had this issue and what I did was completely remove the ADT, SDK's, tools, everything and then re-install and update. I did not have to delete Eclipse though.
EDIT:
Here is a link to the AVD revision information site. If you look at the different versions, it will tell you the required SDK tools version. When this happened to me, I remember it saying something like "if you have less than version 14 then you must update manually" ... but I was unable to find it.
Here is a link to the SDK tools revision information site.

Android : Cannot install earlier packages

I have successfully installed Level 13 (3.2) during the Android SDK installation, but chose not to include any earlier levels at that time.
I now would like to install 2.2 or 2.3, but in the SDK / AVD manager I get the message:-
Failed to fetch URL
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/addons_list.xml, reason:
File not found
I've looked this up in other posts and so run the SDK manager with Administrator permissions, and have turned off the firewall. Eventually, it comes back with SDK tools revision 15, and SDK PLatform tools revision 9 only.
Should I have installed earlier packages during setup?
Would an uninstall / reinstall cure this behaviour? (Reluctant to do
this :-( for obvious reasons)
Is it possible to get earlier levels having installed just level 13?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.
Old Android SDK tool (r13 and earlier) fetch/download available SDK from here repository, after google release r14 and r15, they remove all SDK verion and only leave r15 in this URL, that means they want you use the latest SDK tool r15.
New Andorid SDK tool (r14 and r15) fetch/download available SDK from a new URL repository-5, which contains everything downloadable.
If you are not using anything else like Maven (currently incompatible with latest ADT) with your project, the simplest answer is upgrade both your Android SDK tools and ADT Eclipse plugin.
I just setted up my android environment yesterday - try to download the package manually and load them as Archive files, this worked for me! ;)
