I am searching a method to build custom app for android Auto (Which is not a media app nor messaging app)
Exactly like RoboCharge
Can someone give some directions for building such app.
N.B I have seen this question, but my app will be very simple and will not distract the driver.
Google doesn't allow to create custom apps to 3rd parties, yet.
You have to contact them and they will give you a new SDK

I've searched about launching my app with voice. And what I got is using Ok Google. However, I don't want this feature but start my app right a way without calling Ok Google. Instead, Hey, XXX Then, launch my app.
Maybe I can accomplish this feature by getting a permission of using microphone and using service of my app. In this way, At least my app will launch, if the user once launched my app during the device is on. Maybe using startActivity()?
Is it possible or not? If it is yes, What do I need to do to achieve this result?
It is not possible to launch your app using your own customized name like Hey Jarvis , open XYZ app.
You can only use the following commands in your android mobiles to launch your app.
Hey Google, open Facebook
or
Ok Google, open Facebook
The prefix, Ok Google / Hey Google are proprietary to Google's Voice Assistant that comes handy in Android mobiles. So we cannot change them as our wish, may be we can expect the something like you asked in future. But not sure.
You can refer to the google thread related to this here
As mentioned in the comments, you need to design your own voice assistant to do so. Even if you are developing your own voice assistance, not sure you can run them on your mobiles.

You can use in-app voice features when your app is in foreground. You can give a try to this Google Actions on Android apps. Though this feature is new and limited, you can gain some idea regarding this.
I'm new with Android Auto and I have a queation. I have an app that the user only have to select items and pay. Can brings my app to Android Auto? Because I was searching a lot and I only find examples for media and messages apps. Studing the examples in the SDK of the media and messages, they not provide a layout for the Android Auto app.
Android Auto as of now supports only Media and Messaging Apps integration.
It can be done, but currently the custom app SDK is private - you have to ask Google for access to it.

I am still new to custom URLs and deep linking, but I have not been able to find answers to what I'm looking for on other stackoverflow Q/As.
The context of my question is Android and iOS. My app is HTML5 in Sencha Touch, and uses plugins for native calls. So I need to figure this out for Android and iOS.
Here's the problem. Say I have a a document ID for an Evernote note, and I want my app to launch the Evernote app (assuming it's installed) and have that document open up, then how do I go about doing that? Specifically, how do I know what parameters and parameter names I need to pass to Evernote? Is there a way to "inspect" the Evernote app or do I need to get some official documentation from Evernote about what parameter names/values I can provide?
In my example above, we can replace that with something else as well. Say I have a file "doc.xls" that is in Google Drive. Assuming I have Google Drive app installed, how can I open the Google Drive app with "doc.xls" opened? How do I determine what parameters I need to (or can) pass while opening a native app?
I understand the idea of opening and launching other native apps; I have seen examples for Android and iOS but I cannot figure out how to determine the parameters - which is what my question is about.
Is there some general reading I should do on some particular topic to figure this out? Let me know if I can clarify anything about my question.
Thanks in advance for the help.

try this tutorial by sencha team
On the use of Custom Scheme URLs to launch App
http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2.1.1/#!/api/Ext.device.Device
you may also try the phonegap version.

all the best Hope this is not too late..
I would like to include a menu item in my Android app (built using Cordova/PhoneGap) that provides users with the ability to invite their friends to download the app from Google Play.
Does anyone know of an existing solution for this? I have not had much luck finding one.
On BlackBerry10, this is extremely easy to do (literally 1 line of code). It leverages the OS and BBM to share the download URL of your app with your closest friends:
blackberry.bbm.platform.users.inviteToDownload();
link
Please tell me something similar like this exists for Android (iOS?) ? Thank you.
I use this plugin and works perfectly: https://github.com/EddyVerbruggen/SocialSharing-PhoneGap-Plugin
It's a sharing plugin that allows a lot of configuration options. You could configure it so users share a link to your app on Google Play. The documentation explains how to set everything up.
I am planing to build an android app, which will have user posted content and comment on that content. I want to use a ready made solution for the comments, which is also viral.
For example, using Facebook comments for website can do the job. But I am not able to locate such a plugin for Android (java) app.
Is there a way I can do it easily? or should I build my app using phone gap or something like that and use fb comments widget.
Will there be any problem in approval if the app is in phone gap?
Thanks in advance!
