I have a simple code, that outputs something like that enter image description here
the code that is responsible for that view is:
#!/usr/bin/env python
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-
import kivy
kivy.require('1.9.1')
from kivy.app import App
from kivy.uix.label import Label
from kivy.uix.boxlayout import BoxLayout
from kivy.uix.gridlayout import GridLayout
from kivy.uix.textinput import TextInput
from kivy.uix.button import Button
class LoginView():
layout=BoxLayout(orientation="vertical", padding=[50,0])
state="none"
def create(self):
#super(LoginView, self).__init__()
self.layout.add_widget(Label(text='Login'))
self.username = TextInput(multiline=False)
self.layout.add_widget(self.username)
self.layout.add_widget(Label(text='Password'))
self.password = TextInput(password=True, multiline=False)
self.layout.add_widget(self.password)
self.button=Button(text="Let's Go", font_size=20)
self.button.bind(on_release=self.login)
self.layout.add_widget(self.button)
if self.state=="passed":
return self.state
self.status=Label(text='nic') # text for testing. it's like indicator
self.layout.add_widget(self.status) # and I show it
return self.layout
def login(self, somedata):
self.status.text='idzie' # here I change my indicator
somedata.text="xx"
if self.username.text=="non": # here I check username!!
self.layout.add_widget(Label(text="OK!"))
self.state="passed"
And while this code works really well on desktop, then on Android I can tap the button, and it becomes blue, when i tap it, but text doesn't change like it happens on desktop. I have no idea why. Shouldn't it work the same on Android?

I found it. Actually i had to use LoginView(App) instead of LoginView().
But it's really confusing why did it work on desktop..

I finished my code (for now) and want to make it to an APK with buildozer. I added requirements = kivy,gspread, oauth2client but I am not sure if it is enough like this. Where can I see if these are packages that needs a receipt? Also, is it enough if the json file (for the google spreadsheet access) is in the folder while creating the APK? I added .json to be included.
Right now the APK is being created without any issue and I can install it on my phone but it quits without loading in the first screen. (Only the loading screens flashes for a second).

Hopefully, is not late.
You need as requirement the following packages:
google-auth-oauthlib,httplib2,pyasn1,pyasn1-modules,rsa,oauth2client,requests,gspread
Also include asking for INTERNET permission (https://github.com/kivy/python-for-android/issues/1447).
And you need to find the json file in your end device, for what I used the user_data_dir API from kivy (http://www.albertgao.xyz/2017/05/22/how-to-get-current-app-folder-in-kivy/).
Hy, I tried this code found in many links with some minor differences between them
main.py
#-*-coding:utf8;-*-
#qpy:2
#!/usr/bin/python
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-
import androidhelper
droid = androidhelper.Android()
scan = droid.scanBarcode().result
result = [(scan['extras']['SCAN_RESULT'])]
droid.dialogCreateAlert('u'.join(result))
droid.dialogShow()
with QPython and it works well. I had installed "Barcode Scanner+" as app for scan barcode as it is based on ZXing library (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.srowen.bs.android). Then I tried to create an APK with buildozer and installed on mobile it crashed immediately after start app.

I don't know where I could find some log, so if someone could help me..
My impression is that QPython is able to use some resources and maybe I should declare it in buildozer.spec..
Thank you.
Try logging the output of the program in the terminal. Check the error and then try to fix it. Probably it is giving error because of missing libraries. You have to add those libraries in the specs file separately.
I made an app using kivy on my PC running Ubuntu 16,[64bit], I am new to kivy, but I managed to successfully run the app on my PC, the app includes a kv file, a png, and a video [avi]. I used buildozer to create the apk but every time I run the app on my android device it crashes on start up. I have successfully run a couple of basic apps [hello world button and label app] on my android devices (Galaxy s7 edge and Meizu M1 Note) but every time I run this particular app it closes on start up.

When I started with Kivy I had same kind of problems. Solution for my problem was to add needed libries to buildozer file.
requirements = kivy,jsonrpclib,jsonpickle
And in source I have also "pyc", but I'm not sure is it needed.
source.include_exts = py,pyc,png,jpg,kv,atlas
I have set up the kivy VM environment and have tested successfully that it's working with a sample main.py made in kivy.
When I tried to convert my actual kivy app, it generates the .apk but after I installed in some android device, the installed logo appears, but when I try to open it, it loaded the kivy logo then disappears. Any idea as to why this is the case? My basic code structure is here

I have two external libraries (pyttsx and pydictionary) and they are specified in the .spec file.
I'm really not sure if it'll work at all:
def build(self):
pass
if your widget in kv has a different name than the main class. Probably not. Try to return ScrolllabelLabel(don't you want to correct that name, please? :D It's scrollable).
Also, if it doesn't work, adb logcat is your friend here. You'll get an output as with kivy you won't get something like print statements or python-for-android errors in basic log of your app.
I am trying to import socket in my main.py
but it gives me error as below in log-cat of android
I/python (28346): File "/root/.buildozer/android/app/main.py", line 3, in <module>
I/python (28346): socket.error: port/proto not found
I/python (28346): Python for android ended.
It works fine in my linux but when i make an app using buildozer it crash.Am I missing any module in buildozer?
my buildozer.spec is as below.

Of course, you can write the name of the module you want to use in the requests section, or copy the module you will use to the directory where the code is located so that the buildzer can find it.
in the buildozer.spec:

NOTE: If you want to use a module other than the local libraries, make sure the module is loaded
