Android open file manager how to show only particular file only

I am facing an issue while opening the File Manager from Android apps.
I want to see only particular file only which I have specific but I am able to see other file also but it is not highlight it is been grey out but how to hide that also so only particular specific file I can see no other file.
Below code which I have used:
Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.Action_OPEN_DOCUMENT);
intent.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE);
intent.setType("*/*");
intent.putExtra(Intent.EXTRA_MIME_TYPES,"application/pdf");

What can I do to fix this?

Sorry, that is not an option with ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT.

Pick a file in Android without any file manager installed

I tried picking a file from the internal or external storage with the code below:
Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT);
intent.setType("file/*");
startActivityForResult(intent, 1);
Of course it has onActivityResult method, and it's not the problem. It works fine in the modern phones or phones that have file manager installed. But the old one with no file manager throws
android.content.ActivityNotFoundException: No Activity found to handle Intent { act=android.intent.action.GET_CONTENT typ=file/* }
I tried switching to ACTION_PICK but no luck. I also tried intent.setType("*/*");, it didn't crash but the popup ask for action (videos, contacts,...) which is not true. I just want to pick any file not just a specified type.
I don't want to use any other file manager just to pick a file. Is there anyway I can get through this?

I believe that having the error explained, makes the solution much easier. So let me explain it to you:
You're starting an implicit intent. That means it's an intent that you know what you want to happen (use select a file) and you don't care which application will do it.
The error you're encountering is simply the system telling you (the developer), that there's no application installed that is capable of doing it (neither system nor 3rd party). There's simply no one capable of handling the action you want.
So you have two options from what I can see:
try-catch the error

What's your Android version? Some android maybe not released with such activity.

Input and output path in Android

I am using FFMPEG to make a video editor. I stuck when selecting a folder:
1/ I will show "File Manager" to user. They can choose a folder then return a path. How can choose a folder and get its path. For example: /sdcard/videokit/.
Here is my code, I must choose a mp4 file (not a folder I want).

No, you cannot use Intent to choose folder in Android. You need a dialog of your own. Luckily, there are plenty ready to use code samples available, e.g. How to select folder in android?.

How to open the My Files folder in Android Programatically (using Intent)?

I am using the below code which opens up the Gallery, Music Player, Dropbox and Contacts, i want the My Files folder to get open programatically, please let me know if there are any specific intent parameters i need to pass to get the File Manager open.
if it is not possible through intent then please give me a snippet or an hint to open the My Files folder programatically.

You can use this code to file the files.

this will help you to browse the files from your storage.

Its best that you include a library in your project which handles this scenario.

This library shows the list of third-party apps. It also has its own file browser for selecting files.

Bad thing is, most Android distributions may or may not ship with a file manager, and even so, may be not with the one which handles CHOOSE_FILE_REQUESTCODE.
So, you are left to create your own file picker activity. Luckily there are many ready made ones available:

View folder contents in Android using default explorer

I want to programatically launch a default file explorer to show me the contents of a folder.
I'm using this code, but it crashes:

intent.setAction(Intent.ACTION_VIEW);
intent.setData(startDir);
startActivity(intent);
LogCat shows "No Activity found to handle the Intent"...
What's my best option to do this? I want the user to see the contents of the folder and be able to click the files (e.g. click a video and launch it with default player, click a PDF and open it etc).

Unfortunately there seem to be no standard way to do this, I was searching for the exact same thing before and couldn't find out any solution. There are 2 alternative methods that might work for you:
1) Use a general intent and let the user pick his/her file manager
This is safe and easy but a little far from what we really want

Don't use intent.setType("file/*");, it's not a standard MIME type.
2) Use Specific Intents that the famous file managers provide The well known file managers have their own custom intent filters that accept a directory path which allows simple browsing. Some of them are here: OI file manager, ES Explorer
Maybe you could check if the user have these specific file managers installed and then use this solution, else fallback to general intent.
For now these are the only two options you have. I will update this post if I find out any better solution.

Although I could not get the OI file manager to go to a specific directory, the following opens up the OI File Manager directly and goes to the last directory it was in.
