Android how to make recyclerview overscroll bounce affect when pulled past limits? - android

I am searching for a way to make my recycleView elastic at the top when pulled. Let me show you a image of what i want:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/baoyongzhang/android-PullRefreshLayout/master/demo.gif
So you can see from that gif, that when the user pulls down on the very top of the list it kind of has an elastic bounce affect. How do i achieve that ? i want this affect so my swipeRefreshLayout doesn't get triggered so easily just by reaching the top. i want them to actually PULL to refresh not just reach the top. my appbar layout looks like this right now:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:id="#+id/main_content"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="false"
android:layout_height="match_parent">
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:id="#+id/id_appbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:background="#android:color/white">
<android.support.design.widget.CollapsingToolbarLayout
android:id="#+id/collapsing_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:contentScrim="#color/white"
app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|exitUntilCollapsed"
app:titleEnabled="false">
<com.mobile..UI.customViews.CategoryBanner
android:id="#+id/shortcutbanner"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
app:layout_collapseMode="parallax" />
<include layout="#layout/toolbar" />
</android.support.design.widget.CollapsingToolbarLayout>
<android.support.design.widget.TabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabLayout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
app:tabGravity="fill"
app:tabMode="fixed"
android:elevation="6dp"
app:tabSelectedTextColor="#android:color/darker_gray"
app:tabTextColor="#color/black" />
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<FrameLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="fill_vertical"
android:orientation="vertical">
<com.mobile.UI.customViews.HomePageViewPager
android:id="#+id/pager"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="fill_vertical"
/>
</LinearLayout>
</FrameLayout>
</android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout>
and inside of a tab i have the following recyclerView:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical">
<android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout
android:id="#+id/swipefeedRefreshLayout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent">
<com.mobile.UI.customViews.VelocityControlRecyclerView
android:id="#+id/recyclerView"
android:layout_marginTop="0dp"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
</android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout>
</LinearLayout>
in my activity i tried calling this but it does not work:
mRecyclerView.setOverScrollMode(View.OVER_SCROLL_ALWAYS);

CoordinatorLayout pull down behaviour

I have the following layout:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
>
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
app:expanded="false"
>
<android.support.design.widget.CollapsingToolbarLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|exitUntilCollapsed"
>
<TextView
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="200dp"
android:gravity="center"
android:text="I am some content"
android:textSize="20dp"
/>
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/z_toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="40dp"
android:layout_gravity="bottom"
app:layout_collapseMode="pin"
app:title="I am the toolbar"
/>
</android.support.design.widget.CollapsingToolbarLayout>
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<android.support.v4.widget.NestedScrollView
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
>
<android.support.v7.widget.RecyclerView
android:id="#+id/recycler"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
/>
</android.support.v4.widget.NestedScrollView>
And it leads to the behaviour I want:
I specifically don't want the toolbar area to expand when I scroll in the middle of the list, hence I have omitted the enterAlways scroll flag. However, I have requirement that the toolbar itself can be pulled down and expanded at any point. How can I achieve this?

VideoView overlapping the navigation layout

I'm trying to play video in videoview from mobile memory, i'm using Navigation view and fragments,when single view in xml then no overlapping but when i make another view and after playing video the videoview comes infront of navigation layout, attached screenshot, i already used NavigationView.bringToFront();
the boelow answers didn't solve my problem but somehow i managed to solve it doing a little confusing things,
below code is my previous code, now i changed it into
->Parent ScrollView inner LinearLayout, then ImageView, RelativeLayout with bottom gravity and then my VideoView which is above of last TextView and textview which is parentbottom
Here is my xml file OLD
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"

android:layout_height="wrap_content"

android:id="#+id/introVideoView"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:layout_alignParentBottom="true"

Please check screenshot for better understand.
UPDATE its occurred when first fragment replacing second time it works fine

Please solve my problem?
I've tried different ways to make it work like using NestedScrollView in Main XML file. But, it just does not help.
Please try implementing yourself then give me solution for this.
Remember I've used TextView which contains hundreds of of line of text.
Also, how to implement ScrollBar which can be drag-able manually for the TextView in ViewPager?
You are using the included layout of toolbar you should make this property app:layout_scrollFlags="scroll|enterAlways"
for the AppBarLayout or write that code of toolbar in AppBarLayout.
Hope this helps.
Check this.

How do I fix a layout inside Coordinator Layout?

Currently recycler view and the app bar scrolls . Now I need to fix the relative layout rlProductCheckout to the bottom of the screen even if the recyclerview and app bar scrolls. Current relative layout disappears when I start scrolling, it reappears only when I move back to the start of the list.
