this image shows how the emulator looks
i tried reinstalling everything but it still didnt work
i tried to change compatibility of qemu x86 to system instead of application but the emulator resolution was so bad so i deleted all SDK files and redownloaded everything again to another folder (E) instead of (C) and the emulator still doesnt work properly as it used to.
i think the problem started when i deleted some folders in C:\Users\myuser\.android\avd\
i deleted all the emulators from there because they were taking too much space, i didnt have storage, so i deleted all then i reinstalled the one that i liked and then i started having this problem.
btw zooming in doesnt work either, ive tried almost everything, nothing made it work
When creating new Virtual deice you can see Hardware resolution:
In AVD Configure window in AndroidStudio you can see your emulator hardware resolution:
3: You can resize emulator window from corners:
I started testing out some stuff with Android and Android Studio. I have an AMD-CPU, so I can't use the normal AndroidStudio-AVMs.
I decided to use Genymotion. When I loaded my first test-app on the genymotion AVM, which is the Samsung Galaxy S7-6.0.0-API 23, I had a problem with the layout. Here's an image of the app on the AVM:
But it is supposed to look like the following picture:
I've been programming in android studio for a little while now and recently it's been very messed up. It all started when I changed the theme for my app. The emulator stopped working and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing worked and I ended up factory resetting my laptop. I reinstalled android studio and still have the same problem. I've reinstalled HAXM and I've also tried testing on my phone. I run the program and the emulator shows up and it shows the title bar with the name of my app, but no content, just a white screen.
Here is a link to the pastebin of the log.
Here is what the app looks like in the design view.
Just take out the picture of the duck and that's what it looks like in the emulator
This used to work perfectly before I changed the theme, but I reset my computer so i'm totally lost. I'm running on an HP Pavillion 15 laptop with a core i5 and 8 gigs ram with integrated graphics.
Any help is very much appreciated!
Thank you for your time

When I open the android emulator, it stays on a black screen.
The app I'm testing is small and basic.
I have the arm* type downloaded, and I set it to 300 RAM, but still nothing.
Emulator have many issue if you want good & fast emulator then uses genymotion Download from link https://www.genymotion.com/#!/. you will get different type of device and fast devices then emulator.

Camera not working in android emulator 4.2.2, windows 8
Why the dafault camera not working in android emulator?
It works as it should, if you want to see picture use webcam instead of emulated. (Emulated shows black-grey grid)
