Dagger2 - FragmentSubcomponentBuilder does not implement AndroidInjector.Factory - android

I'm using dagger 2 and trying to translate my Android project from Java to Kotlin. After successful build i'm getting runtime error:
MyFragmentSubcomponentBuilder does not implement AndroidInjector.Factory
With Java this error not appeared. And also i noticed that in my module ActivityBuilder all methods are unused after build (they must be used in generated subcomponents classes).
#Module
abstract class ActivityBuilder {
// ...
#ContributesAndroidInjector(modules = arrayOf(MainActivityModule::class,MyFragmentProvider::class))
internal abstract fun bindMainActivity(): MainActivity // this method highlighted with gray color in AndroidStudio as unused
}
How can i setup my project to use dagger 2 and kotlin correctly ?
my top level gradle.build:
buildscript {
ext.kotlin_version = '1.1.51'
repositories {
jcenter()
maven { url 'https://maven.google.com' }
mavenCentral()
google()
maven {

classpath "io.realm:realm-gradle-plugin:3.0.0"
classpath "org.jetbrains.kotlin:kotlin-gradle-plugin:$kotlin_version"
}
}
// ...
And app build.gradle:
apply plugin: 'com.android.application'
apply plugin: 'kotlin-android'
apply plugin: 'kotlin-kapt'
apply plugin: 'kotlin-android-extensions'
apply plugin: 'realm-android'
android {
compileSdkVersion rootProject.ext.compileSdkVersion
buildToolsVersion rootProject.ext.buildToolsVersion
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.example.app"
minSdkVersion rootProject.ext.minSdkVersion
targetSdkVersion rootProject.ext.targetSdkVersion
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0.0"
multiDexEnabled true
}
compileOptions {
sourceCompatibility JavaVersion.VERSION_1_8
targetCompatibility JavaVersion.VERSION_1_8
}
dataBinding {
enabled = true
}
kapt {
generateStubs = true
}
}
// ...
kapt {
generateStubs = true
}
dependencies {
// ...
kapt 'com.android.databinding:compiler:3.0.0'
//Dagger 2 dependencies
compile 'com.google.dagger:dagger:2.11'
compile 'com.google.dagger:dagger-android:2.11'
compile 'com.google.dagger:dagger-android-support:2.11'
kapt 'com.google.dagger:dagger-compiler:2.11'
kapt 'com.google.dagger:dagger-android-processor:2.11'
// ...
}
As you can see i not using annotationProcessor for dagger 2 (only kapt), and also i added generateStubs = true. But i still getting error in runtime.

Put AndroidSupportInjectionModule in your array module in ApplicationComponent
For example
#Singleton
#Component(
modules = arrayOf(
AndroidSupportInjectionModule::class,
ActivityBuilder::class,
AppModule::class
)
)
interface AppComponent : AndroidInjector<App> {
#Component.Builder
abstract class Builder : AndroidInjector.Builder<App>()
}

implementing hilt in android with kapt Execution failed for task ':app:kaptDebugKotlin'

I have been using hilt in my several android projects. But since I have updated my android studio to latest version Chipmunk// 2021.2.1, this error comes every time when I just build project
Execution failed for task ':app:kaptDebugKotlin'.
A failure occurred while executing org.jetbrains.kotlin.gradle.internal.KaptWithoutKotlincTask$KaptExecutionWorkAction
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException (no error message)
I am checking it on sample app which is just just one dependency injection, using hilt and kapt.

Try using "annotationProcessor" instead of the "kapt" in the build.gradle dependencies. Worked for me.

Build failed after adding Hilt components in Android project

I was trying to explore Hilt with simplest possible example, but my application isn't building. I added all the dependencies but when I try to build, it shows an error indicating not finding the hilt gradle plugin.

Please suggest.
Kotlin 1.5.20 just came out (24 jun 2021) so there seems to be some compatibility issue. You can bring down to ext.kotlin_version = "1.5.10" in your build.gradle(project)
Also, Update hilt to latest 2.37

Cannot implement #Parcelize annotation

I am trying to implement #Parcelize annotation in kotlin to a data class, but it looks as if I forgot to implement something. How I tried to implement it.
import kotlinx.parcelize.Parcelize

Apply kotlin-android before kotlin-parcelize:

}
This works for me Add this to your build.gradle file
plugins {

}

Getting problems when trying to setup Jetpack Compose Found interface rPluginContext

So, I'm trying to let jetpack compose run with a simple example, I have already updated my kotlin plugin to 1.4.0 and also updated all my build gradle with the jetpack compose documentation, but I got this error when compiling

But I cant compile the app, I'm trying to run the basic example
class MainActivity : AppCompatActivity() {
override fun onCreate(savedInstanceState: Bundle?) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState)
setContent{
sayHello()
}
}
#Preview
#Composable
fun sayHello(){
Text("Hello World")
}
}
Does anyone knows why this error is thrown ?
Using Kotlin version 1.4.10 instead of 1.4.20 solved my problem.
Try to update Compose version to 0.1.0-dev16. Looks like 0.1.0-dev13 isn't compatible with Kotlin 1.4-rc

Error in supressing #InstallIn check whilst migrating from Dagger to Hilt using flag -Adagger.hilt.disableModulesHaveInstallInCheck=true

I have been recently trying to migrate my Android App from Dagger to Hilt.
I would like to carry out the entire migration in phases and hence was trying to suppress the Hilt warning for not using #InstallIn for modules.
Have been following the migration guide given here: https://dagger.dev/hilt/migration-guide.html
Also found the flag which disables the #InstallIn check here: https://dagger.dev/hilt/compiler-options.html#disable-install-in-check
However, I have been struggling to get this flag to work.
To understand the issue better, I tried to migrate the Dagger Codelab (https://codelabs.developers.google.com/codelabs/android-dagger/#0) to Hilt.
Didn't find success even there.
Could someone please point out the error? I have attached the build.gradle files and the errors generated below.
