How can I change the color of a CollapsibleToolbar title?

So, I'm struggling for a few days meddling with lots of different attributes, but still couldn't figure out how to change the text color of a Collapsing toolbar's title. Any takes on this? Here's a very simple layout I've been experimenting with. The app:titleTextColor="#color/colorPrimary" produces no effect.

Getting elevation bewteen Toolbar and Tablayout

I am trying to create a layout which includes toolbar and tablayout inside appbarlayout. It works fine but shows a line between toolbar and appbarlayout. I am setting toolbar background color dynamically like:
toolbar.setBackgroundColor(Color.parseColor("myColor"));
tabLayout.setBackgroundColor(Color.parseColor("myColor");
I have tried setting app:elevation="0dp" on Appbar and Toolbar but it doesn't work.

Navigationbar covers Vierpager content

I have a tab layout and each tab is represented my a fragment in the viewpager. Now I tried to attach a Toolbar to the bottom but the android navigation bar keeps overlapping it. Adding a margin is not a option because it looks very strange on devices without a navigation bar on the screen.

I found several other posts about this topic but none of them solved my problem.

EDIT2: According to the blueprint, the ViewPager is alredy behind the navigationbar

How to remove divider in bottom of the AppBarLayout

I want to remove the divider line like in the picture above. I've tried anything but still no luck. This is what I have tried until now.

In the end, I tried to raise my minSdkVersion from 15 to 21 and add the app:elevation="0dp" to the code. It worked perfectly. Thanks guys for the feedbacks !

You have to set elevation="0dp" like:

But it seems that this elevation is from your parent activity not of your fragment. So make sure in your activity you are extending toolbar_layout and that activity's toolbar inside of AppBarLayout set app:elevation="0dp will solve your problem.

Also check your res-> values-> style.xml and style-v21.xml files you set:

Or
If you are not using toolbar you have to call setElevation(0) on your action bar. Note that if you're using the support library you must call it to that like so:

It's unaffected by the windowContentOverlay style item, so no changes to styles are required

It is not a divider but Toolbar elevation. You should set it to the maximum elevation of AppBarLayout and the Toolbar

Android Toolbar instead of action bar

I'm trying to use Toolbar instead of ActionBar. In Android 5.0.+ it works but in 4.4 the status bar is placed on top of the Toolbar.

Add a frameLayout and in its height use #dimen/statusBarHeight. Then you can create an attrs.xml file for each version (normal, v19 and v21). Inside of each attrs.xml put <dimen name="statusBarHeight">25dp</dimen>
Change 25dp to 0 in normal, 25 in v19 and 0 in v21. You can create attrs.xml for landscape mode too (values-land, values-land-v19, etc).

Try using the ThemeOverlay.NoActionBar theme. It dosen't add the Action Bar

Did you change the theme in styles.xml.

If you are using a toolbar it should be NoActionBar in the theme.
