in my other application this code was working fine but in this one it isnt working. when ever i press browse button from webview its does not do anything at all.
Above api21, the method should be onShowFileChooser. If your device above LOLLIPOP, for sure your code won't work.

Did you add permission in your AppManifest like this?

You didn't mention it but you will need that added.
I am currently able to capture a image and upload it to the file-chooser. However the image is always in landscape mode regardless of how the orientation of the device. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The following is an abbreviated example of what I am currently doing.

Put your webview inside framelayout and putan imageview also in framelayout. While page is loading show the imageView(animate if you want).

I'm trying to use WebView on my Android Activity, the web works fine for Location and things, the only problem I have is it's not triggering up the open file chooser Intent for the upload button.
