i am trying to make a google drive for my app , single google drive that will store all the users (hopefully 1 million) media ( pictures , videos and audio) , i spent two days on researching how to do it , yet i have no clear direction .
if any one know if it's possible and the way to do it , please help me !
it's the final step in my APP :)
You can access Google Drive using a rest api. You could use this to store the user information by dividing the drive into different directories. A more common solution is to use something like firebase.

I've built an app using Ionic that takes pictures and uploads them to Firebase Storage. What I'd like to do next is to make it so that the directory structure and images are accessible from a Google Team Drive.
What would be a good way to go about this? I don't have any code examples because I'm inexperienced with this and I don't really know where to start.
Would I write code to put in Firebase functions that would upload the images every X hours to a Google Accounts' Team Drive? Since Firebase Storage is just using Google Cloud anyways is there an API I could use? Does Firebase have this capacity already and I just don't know about it?
The Team Drive is under G Suite for my company so I could get a Google account made just for this purpose.
I'm new to Stack Overflow, sorry if this post breaks any rules.

This is the only example on the internet that I could find that addressed this issue.
It is a working (With a few tweaks as of Novemeber 2017) example of OAuth and Google's API for uploading information from the Database to a Google Sheets document via an onWrite() event trigger.
I managed to get this working, and in combination with the Google API docs and a lot of rummaging have sort of managed to get Google Drive connected.
The key points are:
-Follow the Firebase Functions examples
-Examine the google-sheets-sync example
-Firebase Functions takes node.js javascript
Posting this answer because it sounds simple but this was a hell of a lot of digging for me to find this all.
I have been struggling for many weeks to get the sample code at REST Android Quickstart to work properly, but I get a 403 error which I can't seem to fix as I cannot find the Drive SDK within the Developer Console to activate it for my app.
Now I am wondering if there is an alternative to using the REST method to achieve my original goal of creating an app that can create and edit text files within a users personal Google Drive account - NOT the Drive space allocated to the app itself - which I believe is a limitation of the Google Drive API (unless I'm mistaken)? Many thanks in advance.
Looking for a little bit of help structuring my problem.
I will be traveling with friends to a party weekend and we are plotting locations of places to visit and see on a shared Google map with custom layers.
My thought is that I could add real-time location layers for each attendee, based on the lat/long of those with Android phones.
I'm trying to figure at the moment the elements of the code that I will need and asking the community for help structuring the design.
So far:
Working on a way to broadcast the current lat/long of the Android phone through an API
Determining the best way to import the returns (lat/long) from the API as a layer into Google Maps (thinking KML, but there may be a better solution with GPX or text files)
Once I finish 1 and 2, will write the code to accomplish the process and load to Google Maps
Any guidance is very much appreciated
Why do you need to develop everything of this sort when Google has already provided us with the My Map app. This app is available in Play Sore for Google as well as the App Store for Apple. So all your friends whether an Android or iPhone user can install this app on their phone.
With this app you all can customize the map as per the needs and share inside the group. This app explicitly serves the purpose for the vacation planning when a group is involved.
Take a look on the Google Play Store and the App Store to explore and download.
I'm using Google Drive API on Android to post pictures to the same drive. But I'm curious, I want to have a Public Folder where anybody can post to, without the need to send them the "Share Link". Is that possible?
For Example, I have a Public Folder on my Google Drive. Users of my App, will posts their images to my Google Drive Folder, instead of posting the images to their drive.
Thanks in advance!
You can do that pretty much anywhere like Facebook or Instagram or Google photos, etc... I cannot delete my Google drive and all I receive in it is pornography that I don't want to look at, I don't want my kids looking at on my phone thinking I'm doing this stuff I mean come on they should at least give you the option to delete a Google drive if you're not using it.
I have spent some hours searching for Android phone integrations with Google Drive through code. But I am not able to figure it out. I want to make a app in which when I press a button, my specific file is uploaded and stored in Google Drive.
Currently, GoogleDrive is not integrated with Android. However, this is something they are working on and say it will be here "soon". The services theyre working on is called Google Play Services.
You can also currently use the java client library to accomplish what you need for now.
Just a warning, there aren't many great examples out there so its somewhat difficult to figure out.
