This has been asked before but I cannot seem to find a solution that works.
I updated Android Studio to version 3.0.1
My Mac is running Sierra version 10.13.3
When I go to run an application in Android Studio I get the following pop up message:
Many of the solutions suggest to "Uninstall the current HAXM version" that I have in the SDK Manager by unchecking it and then installing it again. When I go there, however, there's nothing to uncheck because the new version was never installed:
When I try downloading the 6.2.1 version, it does not install. I get the following error:
Does anyone know how can I get this download properly? Thank you!

Good day I recently had a hard drive crash. I have since installed android studio 4.1.3. On the previous version of Android Studio I had no problems running the apks and debugging on my current phone.
With this version 4.1.3 I just can not get it working. I have tried the various solutions on stack and other sites :
deleting the platform tools folder and reinstalling
adding abd.exe to system path
installing samsung drivers, installing intel drivers for the phone
Only thing I could not try was setting the project SDK according to this link https://superuser.com/questions/1419201/unable-to-locate-adb-when-using-android-studio/1561048#1561048 as my version 4.1.3 does not follow the project structure mentioned.
Im using windows 7 64bit. Can some confirm they are using windows 7 and 4.1.3 and do not have this issue? Any other suggestions on solving?
This issue was actually related to the incorrect USB driver being installed.
I am getting following error when installing Android Studio:
"the following sdk components were not installed: android support repository"
I am running Mac OS X El Capitan.

I tried it a couple of times over past couple of days thinking that it might be my internet connection issue. Also tried re-installing the Android studio.
Thanks for any help that you can provide.
if you can open android studio, go to Preferences:
click on Launch standalone SDK Manager.
Select Android SDK Tools and Android SDK Platform-tools and update.
restart your SDK Manager. Android Support Repository will now be available under Extras.
I was updating the android plugin for the API 17 (Android 4.2) in my Eclipse Indigo (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS), so when i rebooted the Eclipse the plugin has gone and i couldnt open my last project! i tried install the plugin again but it said i've already installed. How can i fix that?
I saw this issue only once. I couldn't find any way to repair it and chose the path of uninstalling and reinstalling.
To uninstall:
About Eclipse -> Installation Details -> Select all that start with Android -> Uninstall ...
It is a pain, but at least it will allow you to re-install the plugin.
I am trying to install androids SDK + the AVD manager on the windows 7 platform and a $(^Name) error is coming back after the installation wizard fails. Under the 'more description link-option, a defined 'appcrash' has accrued. How do i resolve this issue, I've tried numerous attempts!
I suggest you install Eclipse, and install ADK Eclipse plugin. Here for more details on how to do it.
I have installed the plugin many times before, but this time I keep getting this error:
'Install' has encountered a problem
An error occurred while installing the items
Eclipse has some memory issues when running on my machine, so I just want to install the bare minimum plugins, etc.
Has anyone got any ideas how to get around this error?
SOLVED
I had the wrong version of Eclipse installed. I just installed the version from the Ubuntu software center and it didn't work, do I uninstalled it and downloaded the Java EE version from Eclipse's website and now it works.
Go to Window -> preference -> Install/update
There update the plugin package ... the one responsible for installing ADT.
Worked for me atleast.
