Remove the Extra white space below Relative Layout - android

I'm using below layout to populate my Fragment with ImageView and Textbox. But There is an Extra white space below the RelativeLayout which I am unable to wipe out.
How can I align the GridView with Relativelayout with no extra white space between?
and
How can I decrease the height of Cardview??

Any help will be highly appreciated.

You assign android:weightSum="6" to the complete LinearLayout. Therefore, the RelativeLayout makes up a sixth of the total height (android:layout_weight="1"). As your GridLayout is quite large (in relation to your FrameLayout) the FrameLayout becomes big, too (one fifth of the GridLayout to be exact). The image is not large enough to fill the entire FrameLayout and you see that extra space.
You shouldn't use weights in your case. Just assign wrap_content to both your RelativeLayout's and GridLayout's android:layout_height.

How can I eliminate the excessive white areas in my Cardview?

I'm trying to create an Android Recipe App. So I have difficulty in designing the layout of the file. I want to display 4 options to the user (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert). I have used a Gridlayout to display each of them. I have displayed each of them in a CardView in Gridlayout. But the problem I came across is that each Card stretches vertically and there is an excess amount of white space.

Layout stretched when setting GridLayout in a ScrollView

I'm trying to put a grid layout in a scroll view but when i put the grid layout in the scrollview all the card inside the grid are stretched like the scroll doesnt get the match parent..
How could i fix that problem?
When i set it normally in the ConstraintLayout all is shown properly.

Scroll view not working with Grid view and linear layout

I've been trying to implement a scroll view into my existing code however when i attempt to do so, the app crashes. I have tried to add a linear view first, then the scroll view but i don't think i have done this correctly. I think there is an error with the layout weights but I'm not too sure. Your ScrollView contains several children objects, but it can only contain one children object. However, these children's objects may in turn receive children's objects.
